About this space: Newly constructed (built in 2015) high-quality, detached tiny house located in the backyard of a main house. The unit is self-contained with living area on the main floor and bedroom upstairs. This would be a great place for someone with short-term work in the area or for someone new to town who needs somewhere to live short-term while they look for permanent housing. I say this because the house has 355sqft of living space which may be a bit tight for long-term stay unless you live fairly minimally. It has a 280sqft footprint (14' x 20'), and 2nd story has a loft on one side w/ bed, but other side is open air, so 355sqft of total livable space. That said, if this is the right fit for you I am also open to long term renting. There’s just enough room upstairs to have a desk/workspace if needed (there’s also space downstairs for that). The upstairs level gets more sunlight during the day. The kitchen works great and comes with basic kitchen items (pans/pots, plates/bowls, utensils, etc.). Does not have a traditional oven, but does come with a toaster oven. Also- no dishwasher. Parking: Street parking is always super convenient and available Utilities: Not included. Will bill tenant monthly. Guest access: Guests have the entire unit to themselves, free to come and go as they please. The yard is shared with the main house. Neighborhood description: The house is located in a great neighborhood with easy access to everything in town. Walking distance to shops and restaurants on Mississippi Avenue and near N Williams and NE Alberta. Easy access to downtown but a quiet residential location. Very close to freeways but just far enough away to not have any freeway noise. New Seasons is very close for groceries, as is Fred Meyer/Safeway. Mocks Crest Park and Overlook Park are walking distance. Getting around: Transportation is very easy. The house is located 1 block from the yellow MAX (lightrail) line which provides direct access to downtown and access to the airport with one transfer. If travelling by car, I-5 is 1 minute away. Interaction with guests: I assume as a default that guest prefer privacy so I give them their space, but I am always available as needed! I live in the adjacent main house. Application & other unit info: A) Application period starts in 3 days (72hrs) from when this add is published. I will begin accepting applications after this 3 day (72 hour period) and process the applications sequentially. B) This unit is NOT an Accessible Dwelling Unit (meaning it's not wheelchair accessible). C) Screening Criteria Overview: Total verifiable household gross income should be a minimum of approximately 2x the monthly rent. We run credit, criminal, and eviction history. 660+ credit score.
