The cottage is a studio with kitchen and bath attached. Main room is 12'x14'. WiFi, full kitchen with large fridge, gas stove, lighted hood. Beautiful bath with a cool glass shower cabinet, marble and granite accents and a heated tile floor. There is a nice built-in table for working and eating at. Loft bed (see pictures) can be used, or bring your own bed and we'll move the loft bed out. Wardrobe in pictures is also available.Private deck under trees, with table and chairs outside. Washer/dryer in shared garage - storage space available there too. Yard has a ping-pong set. Our fenced garden has a friendly tabby cat, squirrels, hummingbirds and other birds, and lots of trees. Rent is $2250/month, which includes utilities (electricity, water, garbage) and WiFi. Applicants’ credit will be checked - $35 fee. Deposit of $1500 required. Minimum lease one year. Cottage is located behind owner's home, but is screened by landscaping. You will rarely see owner! Your entrance is via a locked side gate. 8 minutes from UC Berkeley by car. Buses are a 1-minute walk and BART is an 11-minute walk. Parking nearby is plentiful and free. Kensington is right next to North Berkeley, and shares its beautiful trees and landscaping, interesting older homes, hidden paths and parks, and peace & quiet. Beautiful views of the SF Bay and Mount Tamalpais can be had from our street and nearby. Nearby excellent amenities: Kensington Circus Pub is within 2 blocks, Fat Apple's Restaurant is about 5 blocks away, Benchmark Pizzeria - 2 blocks away. Semifreddi's Coffee & Bakery -1 block away. Colusa Market, 2 blocks away. There’s also a Farmer’s Market at Colusa Circle (2 blocks away) every Sunday which has great food, produce & live music. This cottage may only be occupied by one adult. Pets are not permitted, because owner has a very nice but territorial cat. Sorry, but these rules are firm. Please do not contact me if you are seeking lodging with a pet, or with more than 1 person.
