About This Home
Feel at home in this unique flat, set up with all the comforts of home while embracing the quirky charm that only a vintage building can offer. The apartment is centrally located a short walk from Wrigley Field, the bustling Southport shopping corridor, and both the red line and brown line subway stations. This apartment is designed with years of experience and includes all the comforts of home. Although shops and restaurants are only a short walk away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Parking isn't included and the streets around the apartment are all either permitted (local residents only) or metered, so make sure not to use those spots. When parking, be sure to check all signs nearby because it's easy to get a ticket when parking rules are broken. For the easiest parking, it is highly recommended using a service to reserve a spot nearby before arrival. During stays of less than 14 days, guests receive a free membership to The Metropolitan, a members-only club and co-working space located on the 66th and 67th floors of the Willis Tower, featuring upscale co-working space, dining, and bars, all with stunning views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. The location can't be beat, with the apartment close to all of the 'Boystown' nightlife. Any point of interest in Chicago can easily be reached by walking, public transit, or Uber. Located in a 100+ year-old urban building on the ground floor, you may occasionally find an errant cobweb or two. Also, because the building is vintage, you will hear some noise from neighbors and occasionally from passersby. The building entrance is located next to the apartment door, so there will be some noise when neighbors enter and exit the building. There is a $500 cleaning fee if there is any smoke smell inside of the unit. If you smoke, we ask that you go off of the property to do so, at least 15 feet away from any doors/windows. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am. There is an automatic $100 late check-out charge if you're still in the property 20 minutes after check-out. If you love baseball — particularly if you love the Chicago Cubs — there's only one neighborhood for you: Lakeview! Bordering Lake Michigan on the north side of Chicago directly above Lincoln Park, Lakeview houses one of Chicago’s most popular destinations: Wrigley Field. Originally built in 1914 for Federal League’s Chicago Whales, Wrigley Field is one the oldest still-operating stadiums in the MLB. It was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926 by then-owner William Wrigley Jr., a chewing gum manufacturer.
Of course, there's more to Lakeview than baseball. From the luxury high-rise apartments along Lake Shore Drive to the tree-filled streets and single-family homes in Graceland West, there's something for everyone in Lakeview. This large neighborhood consists of several smaller enclaves, including Wrigleyville, Boystown, and North Halsted. Lakeview features several theaters, such as the Music Box Theater and the Playground Theater, as well as music venues and shops.
