Developed during the early 1900s, Avenida Guadalupe is an established, cozy neighborhood with homes dating to around 1902 to present, giving the neighborhood an eclectic appearance. Avenida Guadalupe begins along I-35 and extends westward to South Zarzamora Street. It is adjacent to Historic Market Square and within walking distance of Downtown San Antonio and the San Antonio River Walk.
Avenida Guadalupe is very much a walkable, urban neighborhood. Known as a hub for the arts, it is home to the San Anto Cultural Arts Center, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Education organization, the Guadalupe Theater, and the Guadalupe Dance Company. It is also a popular dining destination, with a variety of restaurants located along Guadalupe Street. The Apache Creek and Trail pass through the center of Avenida Guadalupe, and several parks provide additional outdoor space. The picturesque Cassiano Park includes a swimming pool and a trailhead for hikers.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
