This has been our family home for 9 years and we're looking for great tenants to live in the house who will be good neighbors to all of our neighbors. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Downstairs has the main living room with original fire place and long leaf pine floors as well as the dining room and kitchen that opens onto the back porch. Upstairs has another living area and multiple areas for a children's playroom and or storage plus 2 more bedrooms. There is a small private office with A/C off the garage for when you need deep focus time or it will accommodate a peloton bike for a small workout studio. The garage offers tons of room for storage, park your bikes or your car. The driveway also accommodates multiple cars so no need for street parking though it's ample and free if needed. A few steps to the East is the West Austin Park and Pool. This home is a true sanctuary in the city. Clarksville's vibrant cafes, acclaimed restaurants, and local favorites are all within easy walking distance. Jeffrey's, Josephine House, Taco Flats, Medici, and Galaxy Cafe, Lin Asia Bar, Better Half, Swedish Hill, Bar Peached, Clark's Oyster Bar, Rosies, and Pecan Square Cafe are only a 5 minute stroll. Families will love the deep yard with room to run and play. Walking children to Mathews Elementary, just 2 blocks away, is a breeze. The much-loved Clarksville neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the oldest freedman’s towns in Texas, established by Charles Clark in 1871. Landmarks in the neighborhood include the Sweet Home Baptist Church, built around 1880, and the Hezikiah Haskell House, built around 1879. The neighborhood contains historic Victorians converted into bed-and-breakfasts, trendy shops, and popular restaurants.
