Cultural attractions include performances at the restored 1922 Buskirk-Chumley Theater and exhibits at the Eskenazi Museum of Art.

A little about me... On January 1st, 2010, I embarked on a journey that would change my life forever. Moving to Bloomington, Indiana, sight unseen, I was filled with apprehension. The thought of leaving behind our Philadelphia home and packing up our two young children for an 800-mile trek felt daunting. Admittedly, I harbored some East Coast biases, imagining a life surrounded corn fields and by people struggling with addiction and poverty. I thought for sure that I would be lonely. This move was supposed to be temporary, just a way to ride out the aftermath of the 2008 market collapse. But life has a funny way of surprising you. Within two months of arriving, Bloomington had already begun to work its magic on me. The warmth of the community was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It felt as though the town had wrapped its arms around me, making me feel like I truly belonged. By the six-month mark, I was convinced this was where I was meant to be. I transferred my real estate license to Indiana and began building my business, confident that Bloomington was my forever home. What I love most about Bloomington is its inclusivity. There's a place for everyone here if you're willing to step out of your comfort zone and reach out. This town is a mosaic of diverse communities, each offering a sense of belonging. Having made the cross-country move myself, I understand the profound importance of plugging into the local community. I consider myself a connector, someone who helps people find their place and the homes they love. Bloomington isn’t just a town; it's a community that embraces you and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Welcome Home, Bloomington.
