Lemont is a small village in Cook, Dupage, and Will counties 40 minutes west of Chicago. This small community rests on a bluff overlooking the Des Plaines River Valley. Lemont is surrounded by forests, fields, valleys, and hills with views of rivers and canals. Most residents spend their time outdoors in various natural areas located in or near the village. Heritage Quarries Recreation Area is a popular sport for walking, jogging, picnicking, and fishing. Visit the Sagawau Environmental Learning Center, which has educational programs and space for cross-country skiing, camping, and birdwatching. The center also offers events throughout the year such as their nature photography contest.
The community bonds through seasonal and holiday events throughout the year. The biggest event of the year is "Lemontster Days," a series of activities held throughout the end of September until the end of October to celebrate Halloween.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
