Encompassing the entire west side of Florida State University, the University neighborhood consists of several smaller neighborhoods, like Amelia Circle, Elberta Empire, and Mabry Manor. The neighborhood stretches from just north of Highway 90 south toward Seminole Golf Course and Club. Because it is so close to campus, University consists of a variety of housing -- ranch-style houses, townhomes, apartment communities, and student housing developments help make this eclectic area even more interesting. Mature trees shade the streets, and residential areas with cul-de-sacs create a suburban feel to this downtown neighborhood.
