About This Property

Beautiful, fun, unique rental of a separate residence that was once a boat. This guest house is situated in the garden with all the comforts of a home. Inside it has a comfortable king size bed with reading lights, a dining area, lots of cabinets, closet, drawers, shelves, ice box, microwave, small refrigerator, electric water kettle and under bed storage. The small bath has toilet and a fully tiled shower. It was made in the 50’s with beautiful mahogany wood and lots of windows for light and airy comfort. The sitting area of the boat has a couch with 2 captains chairs, and all the workings of a real boat - because it was!! The boat is now permanently attached to solar power with hot water and internet. It has a wooden plank to enter and exit easily. There are 2 steep steps into the body of the boat’s sleeping area. Outside is a sunny private patio exclusively for your use. It is located in a very secure, quiet residential neighborhood with parking. It is within walking distance to parks, village restaurants, hiking trails, shopping, library and super easy freeway access. The beach and train station is less than a mile away. We also have bikes and kayak for tenant’s use. The boat house is perfect for a full time employee that loves to relax and enjoy nature in their time off. The inside ceiling is about 6’6"so to be under 6 feet tall would be a good fit. The tenant must work off site. No fires allowed, so no smoking and no candles. There is one friendly dog on the premises, so no other pets allowed. This is the first time to be rented out. The term is negotiable from 30 days to 6 months. The rate is $1800 per month and includes utilities. Also for your use are linens, kitchen supplies, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Please call with questions.
