A marble top island welcomes guests to  this open floor getaway. Upstairs, a back bedroom has a king size bed, full bath featuring a soaking tub and plenty of storage. The Master Suite, located above the garage, has a full bath, office area and/or spill over sleeping for children. Built in 1790, 12 Main functions first as a Tannery. One hundred years later, it becomes part of the Underground Railroad. Norman Rockwell’s friend and town doctor, “Doc Campbell”, lives in and opens a private practice on 12 Main. Rockwell’s portrayals of 12 Main and “Doc Campbell” become famous. In the 1990s, the Barn is converted into the Cottage. Steps to the Red Lion Walk out the front door and enter an immersive experience. The streets and sidewalks of Stockbridge are teeming. Every garden explodes with color. Take a left to visit the Botanical Gardens, The Rockwell Museum, or the historic town square. Take a right and immerse yourself in the hustle, bustle and charm of historic Stockbridge. Step around to the back and discover country. Feast your eyes on views of Monument Mountain, the river bend, a celebration of tiered gardens and the 18th hole of the Stockbridge Golf Course.
