About This Home
Tucked back on a wooded lot in North Asheville’s peaceful Beaverdam Valley, this home offers a quiet, natural setting while still placing you just minutes from everything you need. The lot itself feels noticeably more private and more thoughtfully situated than many others in the area, giving the home a sense of space and serenity that is hard to find. You are only five minutes from shopping and dining on Merrimon Avenue and about ten minutes from Downtown Asheville. It is the kind of place where you can enjoy the calm of the trees from the spacious covered front porch or unwind on the private back deck after a long day. Inside, the home feels bright, open, and thoughtfully finished. The main level showcases beautiful hardwood floors and generous windows that bring in natural light throughout the day. The kitchen has a clean, modern look with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a tasteful tile backsplash. Just off the kitchen are a convenient half bath and the laundry room. The primary bedroom is also on the main level and features an updated en-suite bathroom with a modern, polished feel. Upstairs, you will find two additional bedrooms separated by a spacious full bathroom. The lower level adds even more flexible living space. There is a second living area, another full bathroom, and direct access to the attached garage. It is ideal for movie nights, hobbies, or extra storage. Following Beaverdam Creek northwest from North Asheville Community, Beaverdam is a heavily wooded and somewhat rural neighborhood with scenic mountain views. Beaverdam isn't as remote as its wooded appearance might make it seem -- it is close to the Country Club of Asheville, the University of North Carolina Asheville, and Beaver Lake. Residents enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, from golfing at the local courses to boating on nearby lakes.
Take a drive along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway to the Pisgah National Forest to go hiking, camping, and mountain biking. Asheville's most famous destination, the Biltmore Estate, is only about six miles southwest of Beaverdam. Beaverdam is roughly three miles northeast of Downtown Asheville, offering residents a commute of about 10 minutes. While the neighborhood is mainly residential, shops and restaurants are readily available along Merrimon Avenue.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
