The McFate Building was built in 1924 by H.C. Davis and named by Bud and Maura Dingman in 2002 for Bud's McFate family roots. The building is an up/down duplex (and always was), consisting of two bedrooms, a formal dining and living room, eat in kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove and plenty of cabinet storage. The kitchen opens onto a sleeping porch and the living room opens onto a full front porch with great views of Holliday Park and the Topeka High Tower. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer located in the basement of the building.
The main level unit has entry from the front and rear of the house. Laundry facilities are in the basement, with your own private interior door down to the basement. The windows let in lots of natural lighting. The space has nice, oak hardwood flooring and tile in the kitchen and bathroom. You also have a bonus sunporch on the rear of the house.
