10 miles south of Lake Erie, Chardon is a charming small town located within the “Snow Belt” of the Buckeye State. Chardon has an average of 78 inches of snow per year, making it a wonderland for snowflake lovers. Chardon is a part of Geauga County, which is known around the world for being one of the best places to make maple syrup. The suburban town has good schools, making it a great place to raise families.

Take a stroll down a portion of the Buckeye Trail, a 1,444-mile hiking pathway that loops through wooded trails, rivers, and abandoned railroads to give a special perspective of the state. Chardon also has a very strong performing arts scene. The Geauga Lyric Theater Guild produces a series of youth shows and plays. The theater also offers dances classes.
