The building is on a quiet residential street where the tranquility of the neighboring Botanical Gardens and Cheesman Park is conveniently balanced out with proximity to Colfax where just blocks away is Illegal Pete's, Walgreens, and Pete's 24 hour Diner. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of this building are in the style of a shared community layout and is the home of Cheesman Commons - an intentional coliving community made up of young professionals who are hand selected, socially conscious, entrepreneurs/grad students/independent thinkers in their late 20s and 30s. There is a spacious shared kitchen and dining area, as well as several large common room areas where residents congregate or spread out when cooking, working on projects, or just hanging out. There are also fenced in front and back yards, with grill space and patios. All utilities, including water, electric, gas, and trash services are included, priced in on a flat monthly rate which also includes house common goods essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and dish soap. The standard lease is for 12 months, however shorter lease terms can be approved on a case by case basis but at a slightly higher rental rate. Units can be unfurnished or unfurnished for a fee. Garage parking or off-street above ground parking also available for a monthly fee.
