About This Property
Lease Takeover for a convenient and comfortable 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment next to Western Washington University and Sehome High School in the Happy Valley neighborhood. This cozy apartment is 1 of 4 building units with a shared storage/laundry room in the center of all 4 units and a parking lot with two spots for each unit! Not only is there a full kitchen and bathroom, but the porch is covered for when the rain and snow comes. The best part of this apartment is the amazing location, only a 10 minute walk from WWU campus and a 15 minute walk from downtown historic Fairhaven. We are moving to Seattle as early as February 1st and are ideally looking for renters hoping to move in March 1st or who can negotiate a pro-rated February. The lease is through July 2023 and has the option to extend the lease through July 2024 in the upcoming spring which would be your choice. Water, Sewer, and Garbage utilities are divided between the 4 units and average $100 per unit per month. Electricity and internet are also paid by the tenant by the unit. Our electricity bill averages $150 per month keeping the heat between 60 and 65 degrees in the winter. We also use Xfinity for our internet, but you can use whatever provider works for you. And unfortunately at this time pets are only allowed in the unit with proper ESA documentation. If selected by current tenants for lease takeover you must also be able to pass a background check with Access Real Estate Services to become official new tenants and depending on your status as a full-time student you may need 1 co-signer.

A former mayor once dubbed Bellingham the “City of Subdued Excitement,” an oddly perfect nickname for this delightful and unique community. Ninety minutes north of Seattle on Interstate 5, Bellingham is a charming small city positioned about twenty miles from the Canadian border. Western Washington University enrolls around 16,000 students, many of whom chose to live in the coastal Sehome area near campus.
Locals are quite enthusiastic about beer, books, and bicycles, and you’ll spot many businesses around town specializing in any and all of those Pacific Northwest staples. Bellingham hosts numerous community events throughout the year, covering everything from music to athletics; perhaps the most unique is the annual Ski to Sea race, a seven-leg relay in which teams compete to get from Mount Baker Ski Area to Bellingham Bay via skis, bikes, boats, and by foot.
