Property Ratings at 101 S Overbrook Ave
I live in the Berkeley House apartments and they are terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If I could I wouldn't even give them 1 star. There's a leak in my ceiling that I called maintenance about that has not been fixed. The security chain on the door is held on by one screw. The walls haven't been painted in years. You can actually see spackle. The carpet probably hasn't been changed in at least ten years. No matter how much I vacuum, if I walk around in socks or bare feet, my feet turn black. Trying to get maintenance to come is a joke. My kitchen has two different types of cabinets. One set I think is tin. When is the last time they used tin? The 70's? When the light bulb in the hallway burned out it took them over a week to fix it. I had to walk a flight of steps in the dark and try to unlock a door I couldn't see. They're lucky I didn't fall down the steps and sew. Not to mention the neighborhood is mainly drug dealers, addicts, and drunks. And I'm a struggling recovering alcoholic myself. My neighbors scare me. The only reason I'm here is because I'm unemployed, disabled, and living on Temporary Rental Assistance. Which will run out soon, and I'll be back on the streets. I need help please consider me. Thanks, Michael Sproule
I currently live in the Berkeley House Apartments. I'm on Temporary Rental Assistance, and live in a dump. I've been tied up in a disability case for over three years now, and it doesn't show much hope. I'm a recovering alcoholic that came from the streets of Camden,NJ ,and once the Rental Assistance ends I'm going to end up right back where I came from.Help!! me please. My neighborhood is full of alcoholics and drug abusers. Somebody was shot less than two blocks away from my apartment less than two months ago. I'm trying my best to stay clean for my ten year old girl. The apartments are never maintained and very old. Basically falling apart. My ceiling leaks,I've found mold,my kitchen is so outdated that I have two different types of cabinets, one set is made of tin. Please considered me. I need help. Michael Sprouted.
