Rated 1 out of 5?by smdhha413 Out to get every dime they can from you Hickory Hills will take you for every dime if you don't read the fine print. They say you can give 60 days notice for move out but DON'T mention that the only time they accept it as 60 days is the END of the month. So, if you give them notice on the 10th of the month that you will be moving out, your 60 days notice cannot start until the end of THAT month now essentially becoming 80 days notice and costing you an additional months rent. Now of course when you move in they "pro-rate" for the month and are able to get money from the new tenant AND the old tenant because they are essentially charging double for the same space at the same time. Not a bad gig if you can get it. They will nickel and dime you on everything when you move out from charging you for a light bulb replacement(true fact!) to wiping off a smudge on the bathroom mirror. They find any way they can to diminish your deposit and give you as little as possible back. Pure and simple crooks who use their attorneys to complicate the language so they can charge you for everything and anything. They will not live up to any verbal agreement or notice so GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! I would not recommend this place to anyone. The office staff are less than helpful and at most incompetent.
