Rated 5 out of 5?by I love this apartment! I have been living at Tamarack on the Lake since mid January 2014, and I must say I'm very impressed so far. When we went to view the apartment, we felt VIP . One of the staff members pulled the golf cart to the front of the building like valet parking. Dean was also very helpful and understanding of our needs, he definitely sold us! We fell in love with the layout of the phase 2 apartment. Open layout, tons of square footage, a gas burning fireplace, huge deck, fully equipped alarm system, lights that can be dimmed, good water pressure, HIGH ceilings, screened in porches, tons of outlets, storage space, all the parking you would ever need, big walkways, new appliances, and closet space. These apartments were built in 2000, but they look totally brand new. There are so many advantages to this apartment complex that you have to pay for at other complexes. They include a lot of bells and whistles for sure! I enjoyed how laid back the office staff is, I was definitely attracted to the fact that they are dog lovers!! Pet rent is affordable, and there are plenty of dogs. When we first moved in we were nervous about the area, we have lived in Fayetteville for the majority of our lives and did not think that Rosehill Road was an ideal location. But we were surprised that it took almost 3 days to see our first neighbor (who was very welcoming) ! Everyone was asleep by 10:00, there are no noise disturbances, and our alarm system is paid for by the apartment complex. If you don't like military then this place is not for you. Actually, Fayetteville is not for you because it is a military town. In my case, my boyfriend is former military, so we like having military neighbors. There are many high-ranked and older military mean and women here who are very respectful. I feel very safe living inside of a neighborhood that has a community watch. They meet weekly! I'm also right in between the mall and grocery stores. You're literally surrounded by convenience. Some reviews say that maintenance was an issue, but I have been more than happy with maintenance. I understand that maintenance does have the right to enter the building at anytime for a reasonable cause (it is in all contracts) but in the past two weeks, we have requested maintenance for small things and they have been quick to respond. I'm talkin same day to next day service. It's that fast. They always come on the date we set, and we let them in, they have never tried to enter with a master key. Dean is also the maintenance supervisor, and he is very polite and professional, along with his partner. They are never rude, and they don't complain. I also learned that we have 24 hour maintenance if needed. The only complaint I have is that the office staff was not always knowledgable. They seemed to be on different pages when it came to specific details. We figured all of the kinks out by ourselves though, and were thankful for their effort. But to say the least they were very polite, easy-going and helpful. I also am not fond of the amenities. The gym is ok, the pool is small and run down, and there is no business center. I don't want to make this apartment seem like it is better than what it is, but for the money, the quality is there. This is an apartment for the common man/woman, or someone looking for a short-term lease for the best price. There is nothing fancy here, but it has warmth, personality and substance for sure. We just moved in, but I will track our progress. Stay tuned! January 20, 2014
