    Columbia's music scene provides an amazing number of unique artists. From the Roots N Blues N BBQ Music Festival held every September to the Painfully Midwestern Records label, there's always great music coming out of the city.     Transportation in Columbia, MO

    There are two major freeways running through Columbia, Interstate 70 and U.S. 63, along with three state highways, routes 763, 163 and 740. The Columbia Regional Airport is serviced by American Airlines, with more options a short drive away in St. Louis or Kansas City. In addition, there is the Columbia Terminal Railroad (COLT) that handles regional traffic and which links up to the Norfolk Southern Railway.

    Columbia Transit, or COMO Connect, provides public transportation in the area, and has an annual usage of over 1.4 million passengers between their fixed routes and cooperative service with the University of Missouri. The system is currently going through upgrades expected to last several more years that should provide better options for its service area. The MKT Trail allows for bike path traffic through the city as well as having plans underway for several more bike paths to be built in the future.
