Remember that this is a college town so there is no shortage of buffets, bars, and all night eateries.

Built by the Southern Railway Company in 1910, the Depot is an impressive Italian Renaissance style structure with a 14,000 square-foot interior that included a 4,000 square-foot passenger waiting room. The loading platform was nearly three city blocks long and was covered by a 924 foot-long canopy. The City of Hattiesburg purchased the depot in 2000 and initiated a $10 million restoration project. It is not only a focal point of the city by provides space for numerous exhibitions, meetings, and special events.
