This is a good neighborhood, but this complex was built originally as section 8 housing, which means a lot of the regulations were skipped over. A lot. The walls are very thin, to the point where - you better like your neighbors because you are going to hear them, every day (and yes, there is always that at apartments but this is like a hearing them word for word situation). While I was there they had good maintenance and staff, but when I left there was a turnover and they hired a manager who seemed to have very little experience with real people (I think she was customer service person previously, but only over the phone). It's cheap rent for the area, but be wary of the fact that it is cheap for a reason. May 7, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5?by PaperMoon This is where I wish to live for the rest of my life. I've rented for a great part of my life, and have never enjoyed any complex more than Northville Forest Apartments. The sense of community here is unlike any other place. The office staff is great, maintenance is top notch, and it's own by a private family, rather than a huge corporation. It may lack some amenities offered by other places, the personal attention more than makes up for the inconvenience of doing dishes by hand and buying your own microwave. The windows are really bad, so the heating bills are high, but that is offset by the reasonable rental cost. I'm happy here, and I love my neighbors! January 26, 2013
