Rated 1 out of 5?by Hate moving? Then don't live here. This place might seem nice, but the location is awful and they'll hike your rent 10% when it comes time to renew. You'll just end up moving again in a year. You can walk to a mall or a Home Depot, everywhere else requires a bicycle or a car. You'll never go to the mall because amazon.com. No good access to any of the rails. For some reason, management thinks these are reasons to increase rent. The management doesn't care about building a community of loyal, well-behaved residents, they only care about money, hence the 10% rent increase. And what you get for increased rent is power losses (3 times in a year is abysmal), leaky water heaters, broken parking garage elevators (have fun, handicapped people!) and a dishwasher that couldn't wash a clean dish. When there's snow in the forecast, its a free-for-all in the parking garage where visitors take residents' parking without any retribution from management. Management's threats to tow are empty. And your morning alarm will be the garbage trucks. There are pros. The gym is decent, albeit small. The grounds are kept OK. Walls are thick so you don't hear noise from neighbors. I don't see how this could be a family place since it's so expensive and there's no yards big enough to play in. There's no sidewalks (except to the Home Depot and the mall, so maybe you could raise your kids to sell Craftsman powertools). Walking along 9 is just begging to be hit by a car. But ultimately management does not care about building a community. March 3, 2014
