I would recommend people stay as far away from crown point at the reserve as possible. The noise level is extremely high. Each phase has only one dumpster, therefore, there is garbage and cardboard all around the ground because it is not sufficient for the number of residents. Many Pet owners do not pick up after their dogs. The facility does not provide cigarette butt containers leaving cigarette butts around the grounds. Residents flick their butts over the railings of their balconies. The worst part is you get banged with outrageous charges upon move out. I was given a bill for over $3000 in charges upon move out. I was charged $45 for "touch up paint" and charged to replace the carpeting through out the entire apartment due to pet stains in two rooms. Upon moving in a $600 pet fee is assessed and the fee is $50/ month to have a pet. Steer clear of this apartment complex!! Do some research and find another complex.

Don?t let them fool you. I moved into Crown Point in February of 2010 because it one of the nicest looking complexes in the area. After visiting place after place of whitewashed walls and cheap kitchens, Crown Point was definitely a step up. For the most part, my experience there was good with plenty of parking, the option for garage parking if you want to shell out the money ($100), easy access to the interstate, decent neighbors and nice grounds. There are some important things to consider though. First, despite the initially appearance, the units are cheaply built. The unit may not fall apart around you, but if you take your walk through seriously, you will know what I mean. You will get charged $40 per set of any damage to their cheap blinds when you move out, you will have problems with closet doors, and they will find plenty of other things to charge you for. If you have a pet, DO NOT live here. It cost $500 initially just for the privilege of having a pet, then an additional $50 per month. Oh, and I have been told that those costs went up. So do you think that helps out with carpet replacement or the like when you move out? Nope. If you have a urine stain or two, you will get charged to clean, or more likely, replace the carpet. Given the charges I was handed, they must be making a killing on that. In the end, Crown Point is not even close to worth the money you pay. You will also have almost no chance of getting your deposit back, so don?t count on ever seeing that money again. They also don?t believe in ?normal wear and tear? like many landlords do, so keep that in mind. Some of the staff there are great, others are some of the most unfriendly, meanest, and rudest and you will find anywhere. Since it has turned into more of a corporate housing and transient community, even the neighbors are not as friendly when I moved out as they were when I moved in. So, Crown Point is nice, but there are better alternatives out there for less money. Do you homework before leasing here. Ask questions and get everything in writing. Or don?t, and I can tell you I told you so later.
