Rated 2 out of 5?by Not Recommended I've lived in this area for several years now and recently moved into an apartment at Advenir because my son goes to school here and I wanted him to stay in the same school. Unfortunately there are no other apartments that feed to his elementary school so I had no choice but to move in here. The property is poorly maintained, I do not know if the maintenance is related to Advenir or a lazy uncaring management team but either way Advenir and the management team should be embarrassed by the condition of this property. A good majority of the garage doors are dented to the point that I'm surprised they even open. I commented on this issue to the management staff and was told that the tenants don't care of them. I really don't care what the tenants do, the management has a responsibility to repair damaged and unsightly facility issues which they are failing to do. As of this moment there are currently two couches someone dumped on the north entrance of the complex. The couches have been there for over a month and management has not done anything to have them removed. There is currently some type of dresser and several mattresses that were dumped next to the trash compactor, my guess is that they will be there for several months as well. One of the tenants has a bunch of junky old furniture out on their 2nd story patio that's been there for months and has even recently put a broken down motorcycle on their patio, management seems to care less about this issue because they have yet to do anything about it. The dishwasher in my apartment is essentially a dish dryer, it will not get the dishes clean. The clothes dryer has to be run multiple times to get anything to actually dry. The bathroom shower tiles are dirty and dingy. There is only one trash compactor for the entire complex, they have a trash valet service that costs $32.50 per month and everyone must pay it in addition to the rent. The trash valet guys do not come on Friday and Saturday so you should be prepared for a heck of a walk on those days if you need to take out the trash. There are other apartment complexes in the area for similar rent rates and I recommend going to them instead. May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5?by We are moving into this complex three weeks from today and we are pumped! From the moment we entered the leasing office area, we were totally impressed. The Care Team was in full force, serving sandwiches and making everyone, including my daughter, granddaughter and me, feel very much at home...and we were only there to LOOK! We were introduced to Corrinne Taylor and never looked back. We will be five minutes from our daughter's home (hubby and four of our 13 grandchildren, and minutes from the mall and several other areas of interest. First floor, corner! Yeah!!! May 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5?by Don't believe the pictures Office staff was the worst, by far, of any community that I have ever lived in. I'm polite to a fault, and that usually helps. Not here. We seemed to receive a notice due to a random clerical error on their part every other month. Seriously, it seemed like they were picking apts at random to mess with. That is how poor the staff service is. The soccer field, if you can call it that, is nothing but rocks and dirt. It isn't because of use, it was that way for more than a year straight. The golf greens, LOL, are unusable due to kids ruining it. October 21, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5?by review in progress I plan to update my review as my experience progresses. Here it is so far: I went in and met with Corriane(sp?)and she was very nice. Showed us an apartment we really liked it. I believe she said she lived here and loved it too. Not 100% on that though. I did try to use a 100 off coupon from an apartment magazine but we had some issues with it. we turned it in to Corriane and I called after a while to speak to the manager about if it had been applied. She told me that she didn't know what I was talking about and they didn't accept it. Which I would have been fine with but she kinda had and under tone like she was being nice on the surface but calling me stupid underneath. Could be misreading this though as i said she was nice on the surface. But I called back to ask if they could change the thing I referenced from that magazine to another because it had all gotten so messed up. I talked to the assistant manager this time. He was rude also in the same way. They both gave this feeling that they fell superior to you and they don't really care about what you are saying. Then I found on a few web sites that they don't accept cats, but on a few they do... So I called, talked to Corriane (I'll fix her name when I find out how to spell it) she told me they do accept cats. Also she was super nice again. treated me like an equal. So far I plan to move in still. But I will update during the whole process. I will let you know if I am just misinterpreting the manager and assistant manager. We do know people who live there and they have no problems with the management. lets see how this goes... September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5?by Great Home I moved into these apartments 2 years ago and have loved the environment. It is safe, quiet most of the time and I save a lot of money with free WiFi and the gym. The area schools are great quality and the staff is very helpful. When I call for service, I find quick response and resolution. I also love being so close to Southlands shopping center. Rated 3 out of 5?by Stop dictating which service providers residents can use. It's your basic apartments. My biggest complaint is that they do not let you choose your service providers for internet and TV. They are contracted with century link and direct TV and you can't get another service. If this was a more permanent move, I would not have moved here for THAT reason alone. Why dictate to me what I must choose? BUT the biggest problem is that I have had more problems with my tv and internet here than anywhere else. So, I can't choose a different company for my services but the services I HAD to use don't work well. June 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5?by Great place to live I moved in March 8, 2013 and so far so good. The minor items that needed correction were taken care of in a moments notice. Office staff is very professional. I was impressed how the maintenance team handled the removal of the snow to ensure the saftey of it's residence. My neighbors has been very welcoming and very polite. So far I am quite pleased.
