Rated 4 out of 5?by Kath I was very Impressed with this property!
I am relocating from another area of the country and trying to find a new home is not easy. However, I found everything I needed at your web-site and I think that anyone will find it to be simple to navigate. Thank-you again. Your friendly staff answered my questions in a prompt and timely fashion.

Rated 5 out of 5?by Mrs. Doughtfire Best Managed Apartments in Tucson
Foothills Apartments is run by a very capable and personable office team, with competent and hard working maintenance staff. The grounds are always meticulously kept and the amenities are plentiful. From a basic exercise room to common lounge area-complete with large screen TV (great for those wishing to gather to watch an Arizona Wildcats game or The Oscars). Thee is a 24 hour laundry facility that is always clean and tidy with efficient (and economic) washers and dryers. The pool is always sparkling clean and the hot tub, while not nearly as "hot" as I personally require (especially for these cold winter days) is still a nice place to relax (although sometimes it can be overrun with small children or groups of "smokers" (yes, some people actually smoke IN the hot-tub).There are shaded picnic tables, an outside bar area and plenty of lounge chairs surrounded by a child-proof fence in the pool area. The swimming pool (not heated in winter) is a bit shallow which is great for kids, but does get awfully warm during the hot summer months. As for the units-while some are dated, many have been upgraded with granite countertops, ceiling fans, screen doors and other amenities. The only real negative is lack of natural lighting in any of the units. With a lack of windows it can feel like living in a cave. All apartments do have a small patio area or balcony. Also, the walls (like most apartments) are not that well insulated. Thankfully all my neighbors are very quiet and its seldom you hear more than a muffled conversation, etc. No blaring music or blasting TV. The neighborhood is great-but like so much of Tucson-is FAR from major shopping centers. The apartment complex is in the exclusive 85718 zip code, surrounded by million-dollar homes and just 5 minutes to Sabino Canyon and many other great nature areas and hiking trails. The views of the Catalina Mountains (Finger Peak), just outside the complex, are awesome! Everyday shopping is convenient, with a Safeway and Starbucks right across the street as well as two major drugstores, a hardware store and many good restaurants and other small businesses close by. Churches (Unity and St. Francis Methodist) just 5 minutes away. Trader Joe's and Costco are about a 6 to 12 minute drive. Everything else in town is a good 20 minutes-or more-in either direction. The community is gated (parking lot and living area); however , this really is a false sense of security as there is no front gate, so anyone can access the parking lot at anytime-day-or-night-and the residential gates are often left ajar. The biggest plus to living at Foothills is the staff. Headed by the best manager-things get done-and done quickly. I've never had to wait for more than 24 hours to get minor repairs taken care of. Very professional. The office also is kind enough to handle personal requests like receiving or sending faxes and accepting UPS or Fed-Ex deliveries. A really nice place to live-just wish the apartments were a little "brighter".
