Apartment wasn’t in the best condition on move in day. The front door knob was loose and you could see into the apartment. The tub drain never stayed fully shut so it would just drain. And then all the problems with the AC and dryer. I would never recommend a friend or family member live here. The communication is poor and the feedback is minimal at best.

The apartment is really nice, I love it! It's the issues with maintenance and the front office that bring some frustration. The pool has been closed almost ever other weekend since we have moved in. As mentioned in the previous comment, maintenance takes forever, does not communicate, and you have to constantly be checking in with the front office if you want anything done.

The apartment is overall fairly nice. Management is great. It’s the residents that don’t treat the property well. Trash is always on the ground, dog waste is never picked up, people always abuse the 2 max guests at the amenities even with the wristbands.

I lived here with two roommates and it was the perfect setup for us. We liked being close to Westgate and the gym has everything. Only complaint is that it isn't 24 hours. Besides that everything was great. The pool being heated was a big bonus as I work so much during the summer I didn't get a chance to use it until the holidays. Maintenance is quick and the office staff is friendly. Would live here again if I am ever back in Arizona.

I've lived here for a year and 8 months. Our garage has been broken into TWICE and have had about $10k worth of items stolen. Where were the security guards?? There were about 4 other garages with doors open the morning I discovered ours was broken. A new set of Taylormade golf clubs/accessories stolen ($2k), a new KTM dirtbike with expensive upgrades, tools, Oakley sunglasses, loading ramps, etc..all gone. No security cameras except by the gate-but guess what, there was a tree limb blocking the view. Worthless. Renters insurance paid about $1200, the rest is gone. A week later the gate was broken. Parking is terrible, and notes are left on the windows threatening to tow your vehicle if parked in reverse, trees shed on cars and you can expect bird droppings on your windshield. I've had to trim branches so that I could shut my door without them getting inside my vehicle. None of the TVs work on the cardio machines and the pool was down twice for several weeks due to renovations during pool season, but my biggest frustration is security. I know other people who've been victims of theft here as well-they need a surveillance system badly. Good luck, I don't think we'll renew.

Very poor experience from a prospective resident. Applied Friday early morning and called them Saturday evening after no response. Spoke to Andrew who said I was approved under XYZ deposit/conditions. Great! Especially since it was only 2 weeks to move in. Andrew says Bree will call me next day with more information. Bree called 2 days later. She starts in with I'm approved under ABC conditions. Wait, what?! Completely different conditions as what Andrew stated. So now I'm baffled. I tell her about my conversation with Andrew, whom she promptly calls after speaking with me. Calls me back a while later stating that Andrew says he didn't inform me of any approval or conditions! Then Bree goes on to rambling that she can't change anything, implying that I was lying so as to get what I wanted. Seriously? So not only am I lied to, not followed up in a timely manner ($225 refundable only within 48 hours...), but I'm also apparently lying about the call entirely? That's nice. I understand miscommunication but that's a huge miscommunication with poor handling. And telling me outright that he states he didn't speak to me followed by implying that I'm lying? Even as someone who doesn't work in that idnustry, I can count how many different ways his outright lying could have been handled better. I expected more from a 'upscale' pillar community.

Gated community.

These aparapartments are the nicest apartments in the west side of Phoenix. You are a block away from west gate where you can walk there and back not having to worry about a DUI. The apartments are super clean and very spacious. Office personal are always friendly and quick to respond to any of your request. The apartments itself have a resort feeling, feels like you are on a tropical get away and dont really realize you live in the middle of a desert.

My wife and I have lived here for about 9 months. The staff is fairly courteous and we have not had many problems with them. There are however a few issues we do have about the residence. We have a serious scorpion problem. Even after having the apartment sprayed i have seen 3 scorpions in my living area in the past 2 days. I was stung by one on my foot a while back and it left my entire left leg numb and burning for a week (I was using my computer at the time). The parking is frustrating. The garages are too narrow to fit anything but an economical vehicle in comfortably without a straight approach (Which many of them do not allow due to placement.) There is only 1 handicap parking spot within reasonable walking distance to my building. Also, the trees in the area are ridiculously overgrown. I drive a mustang and the limbs scratch the top of my car (I wont get started on the bird droppings.) My last complaint is with the interior - Both the bedroom closet, and the laundry doors have broken multiple times due to poor quality. This is not from over tampering or harsh use. The bedroom closet door will not open without a really good tug, and the first time i opened the laundry room door, the spring popped out of the top and now it will not close. The washer and dryers do not work well and have malfunctions on a regular basis. This would not be an issue if i were allowed to use my own (Which i had to sell in order to move in here.). I've lived in military (specifically ARMY) housing and apartments for over 3 years at a time. The Army is not well known for proper housing conditions. Yet, I've never had such issues to this extent within military housing. I had expected the private sector to be of better quality. Especially from an apartment complex that claims to be luxury. (ALSO OVER PRICED!)

we looked at the property and have plans to relocate in the near future. we were very pleased with the information given to use and all of the available options of this property. It was very clean and well kept, and the location is perfect for getting around and going into Phoenix. I would highly recommend this property.

I moved in at the end of February and have the larger one bedroom. The floorplan is great. I chose it for it's 12 foot kitchen island and white cabinets. This is unheard of in a 1 bedroom or most homes for that matter. It has been quiet overall. They just painted the outside of the buildings which I thought looked fine but it looks really great. The location is right across from Westgate and you can walk right over to the Native New Yorker. I have found all the staff nice that I have come into contact with and feel I made a great choice in choosing The Metro.

Metro at Zanjero must not have the need for new tenants/business - I left several messages requesting leasing information and have not even been given the courtesy of a return phone call. First impressions are everything! If this is the level of customer service that is provided (or not provided, rather) to prospective tenants - I wonder how poorly the existing tenants are treated.
