Located along the western shore of Lake Winnebago, Oshkosh combines waterfront living with a rich cultural heritage. As "Wisconsin's Event City," this community of about 67,000 residents offers housing options throughout its diverse neighborhoods, from downtown's historic buildings to residential areas near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. One-bedroom units average $819 per month, while two-bedroom homes typically rent for $1,091. The rental market shows a 2.8% annual increase, positioning Oshkosh as an economical alternative to Wisconsin's larger metropolitan areas.
Menominee Park spans 109 acres along the lakeshore, featuring a zoo and serving as a central gathering spot for community events. Downtown, the Fox River flows past the Leach Amphitheater, home to summer concerts and festivals.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Wyldewood Village
I have been renting with Midwest Rental for over 8 years and they have been outstanding. I recently have began to move over to Wyldewood and Amanda the manager has been amazing throughout the move in process. If you’re looking for a great place to live with a genuine and caring landlord this is the place to be.
From the super cheap appliances (that don't properly work) to the ignored phone calls, I do not recommend any properties owned by Midwest Realty. A couple months into my lease, we received a notice stating they were going to be servicing our sprinkler system. We did not receive any other details other than that. Well, we had holes in our walls all over the place with drywall dust covering literally everything in the apartment. I wish I would've had time to cover my electronics... Then there's the unanswered phone calls. We had a young child accidentally pull our fire alarm in the fall (during the day, on a weekday). The fire department arrived on scene and asked about an emergency contact phone number for maintenance since they weren't able to get a hold of anyone using the generic number. Both the fire department and I were standing in the parking lot, alarms blaring, for nearly 10 minutes trying to get a hold of someone to shut off the alarm. The icing on top of the cake is a hole I've had in the gutter above my front door. Every time snow melted off the roof or it rained, we had water pouring out of the gutter, which resulted in water leaking under the front door. I've been asking/leaving messages (because like I stated before, calls are never answered nor returned) for them to fix it since September of 2018. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, especially given the monthly cost.
The apartments aren't sound proofed the best and the basic hardware in the apartment was pretty cheap (really wish they had higher quality for the price you pay in rent). But overall the apartments are pretty high class for what I've seen in the Oshkosh area and I really did enjoy my year that I stayed there. The neighborhood is very quiet and kept up on nicely and the two neighbors I met in my building were really friendly. Maintenance issues were taken care of fairly well/quick and the girls in the office are super nice but hard to get a hold of sometimes. I would recommend giving this property a chance... I would just suggest choosing an upstairs apartment!
I gave my written notice on Nov 1st and in-person on Nov 3rd. I asked in person if this would affect me in any way (since it was technically a 29-day-notice instead of a 30-day-notice), and I was assured, "No." I asked because I could have stayed an extra month without paying any extra. So, it would have been no problem. However, I get my final statement and it included an extra month's rent charge for "improper notice". No problem, I call to make the situation better and I was told - too bad, take my problem to corporate. (Keep in mind, this is the apartment manager at Havenwood because they haven't replaced the atrocious manager that was at Wyldewood. So, if you need a problem addressed at Wyldewood, you had to go to a different complex owned by the same company for help.) I say to Wyldewood - Is a month's rent worth me posting this review everywhere? More importantly, we are in a small town, and word of mouth is so powerful. There are other apartments that are nicer and more affordable, and most importantly, that you can TRUST!
