When I moved in this community, 4years ago. I loved it. Now it's has drastically changed on every level. I still like the area I live It's quite. The parking lot area needs more lightning.

They need more maintenance on staff and as old as the apartments are they really need not patch-up jobs done but a complete over-haul renovation especially with windows & stackable washer/dryer replacements. My washer/dryer is probably 20 years old.

Very old apartment structure, bathroom needs an upgrade from the 1980's. Pest issues, windows need to be replaced due to drafts and windows rattle ehrn it's windy and causes high electric bills especially now since it's cold. My electric bill was an average of $39-$48 between June and December now it's $138 !

Staff are extremely easy to work with and timely in responses to any concerns. Maintenance comes out quick and does an excellent job repairing/replacing anything that malfunctions. I've actually had an emergency request and maintenance came out during their time off and resolved the issue the same day. The area itself is one of the best in Newport News. Given my occupation, I'm exposed to crime stats and the only type of criminal offenses that occur out here are the same that occur everywhere else regardless of where you're at when you live in a city and those are, vehicle tampering's and domestic situations, still not at all a major issue and doesn't happen frequently in this neighborhood or I would've left by now. To curb vehicle tampering's, leave valuables out of sight/not in your vehicle and ensure your vehicle is locked. These are generally committed by children looking for quick rewards and they actually have a tendency to do this more in very high end neighborhoods because people for more comfortable. But that doesn't effect the score because like I said, there's no escaping those issues. The reason it gets a 4 is due to some tenants and who some tenants associate with. Some of tenants couldn't be bothered at all with picking up after their pets and other's couldn't careless about littering. But, as said in the headlines, the staff addresses everything. I've even witnessed the maintenance workers cleaning any trash off the ground. Landscaping is kept up with and has never been unruly. I saw a previous comment that spoke about bugs and it's hardly ever an issue, if at all, because again, staff is on top of it by partnering with Orkin who comes out and stays up to date with pest protection. If you're looking for a great place to live, you can feel comfortable making the decision to move here. If there are any valid issues they can be brought to the attention of the office staff and it'll get taken care of.

Woodscape is a nice place to live. The apartments are nice and the area is very friendly. Dogs and cats abound and it's safe. Convenient to everything! People are friendly and helpful. Truly a nice place to live.

I have live here since 2018 and I love it here. The office and maintenance personnel’s are great and friendly. Willing to help in anyway. It’s peaceful and safe area. Apartments are very spacious, large living room.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Staff seemed super friendly and nice but after we signed the lease everything changed. There are bugs everywhere my daughter didn't even want to go in the apartment anymore. Even if they come to spray for the bugs they are back the next day if they leave it all. The walls between the apartments are so thin I could literally hear my neighbor take a dump in the morning. Maintenance staff is a joke, they say they get a promotion by how fast they turn over jobs but I was without an oven for over a week. Music at all hours of the night. If you are living here already I suggest you do the final walk-through, because they WILL charge you the max amount for everything regardless of the condition. We lived here for a little over a year and the entire time we were miserable and terrified of the finger long "water bugs" among all the others. Also most the good reviews on here are from the staff or past staff.. whole place is a joke

Very shady places to live their was a shooting and a couple of apartments got shoot up as well as some ones car. Went to the leasing office to see if their was a way to break my lease because my son was coming to live with me and i did not want he growing up in a place like that they refused to work with me and a week later i had an eviction notice on my door.
It's a good place to live. It was a little rocky at first in the two bedroom, but they worked with us and now it's a great place to live.
I have lived here for almost two years and I really like it here! The staff is definitely my favorite, they are very friendly and personable. They really take care of the residents.
