Woodgate North

They raise your rent every year around 100$. Internet has to be spectrum so spectrum charges you an arm and a leg, at the lowest tier I was being charged 90$, and you never get good connection. The power goes out every other month. They allow people to smoke inside their apartments now, according to the office. Doesn’t matter if you have pets, your whole building and inside your own apartment will reek of cigarette. Walls are paper thin, and the people with children never stop screaming. Maintenance is actually good when you have a call, but setting up before you move in isn’t the best work. They will come in to change the batteries on your smoke detector and vacuum the ac unit as well. But my ac unit in the wall wasn’t sealed so I got wasps through the edges. My drains were clogged when I moved in and the tub will back up if you don’t live on the top floor. Also after your first year your lease changes to month to month. Somewhat nice for when you want to leave you can, but it’s less stability for you if you miss rent you will get evicted within that month.

If you are planning on living here for only a year I’d recommend if you’re not picky. People never pick up after their dogs and said dogs are ALWAYS barking. Management does absolutely nothing because the dog is on rent. Also beware that rent goes up every year you live here so don’t plan on staying long. This is a no smoking building but people smoke on their balconies so the place always stinks of smoke or weed. A perk is the water is free and the space is pretty decent for the price you pay. I will say it’s lifesaver for some that 3x rent isn’t a requirement.

I wish there was zero star! Simco! The worst of my renting experiences! Search more and even pay more, but do not waste your money by renting Simco apartments. Poppy pop is everywhere. There are plenty of hidden fees waiting for you right before moving out. after renting you will find out that you are a victim, and no respect for you anymore! You will find out that you made big mistake by renting these apartments. Both management and office people are highly impolite and rude.

The Simco company (the owner) is very bad. They charge you with a lot of hidden fees. there are a lot of unfair paragraphs in contract and you need to pay a lot after leaving. I paid more than 1000 dollars after living.

I have been at Woodgate for two years now. Nice apartment, laundry in the building with no issues and the pool is great. Lots of places to walk my dog also off of the main road. They have been great about fixing the few things that have broken. Staff is pretty cool.

I live in a third floor, 2 br apartment and it is pretty spacious. The property is always clean (even the pool area), there isn't too much noise, and there is ample parking. The staff is nice to you if you are nice to them. They have gone out of their way to fix things that were broken in my apartment. The apartment complex does single stream recycling too! The air conditioning is a single wall mounted unit but it works well and cools the apartment quickly. Heaters are in every room and each room has its own thermostat. Closets are pretty big in the bedrooms but there could be more storage space in the living areas. I love the balcony and outdoor space on the property. We've never had a pest problem.

When I moved in four years ago, I thought Woodgate North was pretty nice for the money. Was I wrong. Although they check the backgrounds of tenants, they do nothing about unauthorized people living there, even after complaints including someone living in their car in the parking lot. It took two people being shot and killed in the building before they made a token effort at checking license plates once or twice. After that, it was back to non-residents parking there whenever they wanted. They were equally unresponsive to complaints about drug parties in the building. The washing machines were often broken and the lower level got water in their apartments. Do yourself a favor, rent somewhere else.

I lived at woodgate north apartments 2years ago and I love it! I moved though to be closer to college. After having lived where it was load and the apartments were not well kept, I moved back to woodgate north because of how quite and peaceful it is. The staff is really friendly and willing to help out with anything you need. The apartments are very well kept and makes me really feel at home. I don't stress about something not working and if I do need something fixed they do it in a timely manner.
