The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Woodcrest Apartments
Worst apartments ever! During this past cold Michigan winter our heat went out on 3 different occasions and work orders would take weeks to repair. They offered broken heaters to help appease the situation but it honestly was not enough. Ended up staying at my parents each time the heat went out because it was just too cold. When I went to the leasing office to see if there would be some compensation or discount on rent for the 2-3 months I struggled with this issue. I was told to write a letter to the management company. I was never allowed to actually speak to a human being, only allowed to make requests threw snail mail. Worst customer service ever! Of course my requests went unanswered so finally I made the decision to move on. My cat and I were so happy living here in the first year but once we started having issues with repair and maintenance I didnt feel comfortable paying the overpriced rent for such terrible and rude service. To make matters worse, after I finally moved out they took my entire security deposit and even tried to charge me for things that were normal wear and tear in the apartment . I left the apartment the same way it was when I moved in and now I have to find a lawyer who can help me reclaim my deposit. I have never been through so much with any apartment complex in my life. Please safe yourself the headache and the frost bite in the winter and choose somewhere else to stay.
I lived here for a year whenI moved in it was a new manager that was great she was getting the maintance done quick they let her go and they went 3 maintance guys. This apartment complex is not updated my apartment flooded 4 times and it was not due to rain the first flood was due to the water heater then the air conditioner that was upstair leaking on my bed and they told me to make insurance claim then it was the pipe under the sink in the bathroom then it was the pipe in the wall. The maintance guy they came to fix the waterheart said it been there since 1985 wow. Resident are moving out constantly. Do not move here its very old and need update. Oh and there is only one way to pay your rent is mailed it to a P.O. Box and they charges $75 late fee...I have mailed the rent in 5 day ealier and they still say they did not receive it on the first it no way to prove it so they charges you $75 a month and say you late with your rent.I have ask several time your payment for rent need to be update why residence cant pay on line never receive a answer...This is 21 century the apartment need update as well as paying the rent
There is absolutely no security here at all. Management boasted about how safe it is due to only having one entrance in/out of the complex and how that deters criminal activity. We were also told that there is night security that patrols, we have been here nearly 8 months and haven't seen them once. Management is slow to complete maintenance requests. Upon moving in the washer did not work, which took almost two weeks and calling every couple of days to get taken care of. The hot water heater above up leaked and flooded our apartment which lead to a series of problems within our unit. The water damage took about a week and half to two weeks to be completely taken care. While replacing the upstairs water heater they discovered a problem with some venting system and had to shut off our hot water, which took four days or so to be turned back on. Our unit was not clean upon moving in and the kitchen was the worst. There were quite a few items that had to be fixed immediately that weren't taken care of before we moved in. Rent has to be sent by mail and everything has to be in the form of a cashiers check or money order, no cash or personal checks. Really the only features that I like are the private entries and in unit washer and dryer.
I love this place, me and my sister stayed here for a year, I like where our apartment sat. We were surrounded by trees. So when we would wake up in the morning I would always feel like I was up north in a cabin maybe lol, the deers would help make my fairytale real when you can look out and see them in the yard. Overall the place was nice, two bed two bath, perfect for us me and my sister never had to see each other unless we both was hungry. Ha!
Easy access to freeways going everywhere. Good layout of apartment, your own entrance and separate patio door, loads of windows for cross ventilation. Loads of storage in each room. Laundry room with full size machines and room to move in. Older buildings but still nice.
