Windsor West Apartments

I enjoyed living there for past 3 years, nice apartment complex and neighborhood, but I wish they had better washers and dryers in their units.

Maintenance The maintenance is always very responsive and reliably resolves issues. Thank you for your effort to maintain our life in the apartment!

Exceptional maintenance Simon put mini blinds on my patio door with no effort at all. He also changed the bulbs in 2 ceiling fixtures. Simon was so polite and capable. I really appreciated him.

Wonderful experience I loved my experience living at Windsor West. The neighborhood is quiet and close to walking paths and restaurants. The complex is clean and well kept and the staff are kind and responsive. I wish I could have picked up my unit and moved it with me.

Quick Response On a Sunday afternoon, my washing machine made odds sounds and began smoking. I contacted the emergency maintenance number and assistance was provided that day. They evaluated the machine determining nothing was on fire. During a follow up the next day, the machine was checked and cleared for use. Thanks for the quick response and follow up.

Move-in Recently moved into Windsor West Apt. The staff (office & maintenance) have been outstanding since my initial meeting. They are responsive and friendly.

Fully satisfied with quick response Submitted the service request in the morning and the issue was fully taken care of in that afternoon.

Super job! Blake not only fixed my overhead garage door issue but also patiently took a. Lot more time to program the extra remote keychain opener I had purchased but absolutely could not get to work even with help from a pretty smart techie friend. I was thrilled! Love our Windsor West Maintenance guys! They always go above and beyond.

I felt like over all this was a great place to live! A very quiet environment which was wonderful during my clinical year of veterinary school. The front staff was always very helpful and friendly. Only minor inconveniences during my stay otherwise it would have been a 5 star review.

Always has same day services when putting in work orders. Pool was great and well maintained. Events were well planned (although I didn't attend many due to work schedule). But all in all great experience of 4 years.

I submitted three maintenance requests at the same time and asked to come on a future date. Two guys showed up right on time, already had a plan of action, knew exactly how to fix the problems, explained them to me, even complimented my apartment decor and were very nice to my nosy dog. Very knowledgeable. They fixed all three problems in probably less than 20 minutes. I was very appreciative bc I had family coming over shortly after. Overall it was a 10/10 experience:)

The office took my 30.00 application fee, placed a hard enquiry on my credit and then told me they stole out of the two styles of apartment I was interested in after the fact. After that they told me to look at other apartments at their sister properties. Not happening.

*Living in a 1 bedroom apt with a pet for one year at the time of this review* - Beautiful and comfortable apartments with lots of space! - Modern appliances including washer/dryer in unit - Pet friendly - Office staff is amazing and so nice! - Love the apartments amenities (pool, clubhouse, grill, 24 hr mail center for picking up packages, dog park...) - Maintenance was polite and quick to take care of any issues (mostly needed help changing lights in high ceiling apartments) - Utility bills were reasonable and lower than i had expected/paid at other smaller apartments - Nice quiet neighbors - Located on bus routes across from YMCA and close to hospitals with some restaurants nearby

I'll be up front. Is this place more expensive than other locations in town? Yeah, based on what we saw and heard from others. Is this place the best apartment complex I have ever lived in or seen? Yes it definitely is. This apartment complex is a shining example of what other apartments need to aim to be. I can detail how great the living space itself is (wonderful ceilings, floors, new appliances, soundproof walls, good carpet, great view, etc), but the most important aspect is the management of this apartment. I never once was mishandled in my dozens of interactions with the staff there. If I had a problem, they fixed it. They were always courteous, they gave me the benefit of the doubt, they threw parties for the residents (and not lame ones either, it was heartfelt and endearing, lots of the community always showed up). They knew me by name, and seemed to actually take an interest in my well-being. They did exactly what I wanted out of an apartment complex...removed any of my worries about my living space. If something breaks? They fix it. If there is something amiss in the parking lot? They take care of it. They completely remove any hassle with your living space. The location itself is not bad. It's about a 20 minute drive into the center of Champaign, but you're also far enough out that you don't deal with the issues of the cities either (crime, major traffic, etc). So if you can afford to live here, I highly recommend doing so.

The office staff were super friendly!! The pet friendly side to it is great! Everyone in the office always was very nice and friendly when Ruby my basset hound would stop on in. :) And the buildings are new, clean and well maintained. Dont listen to these negative reviews saying, "looks are decieving" and blah blah blah. Its very much the opposite. Felt very clean, new and safe!! The negatives to Windsor West I expierienced mostly were the lack of both younger residents, and dog activity, which you think would not be true because of the great pet friendly atmosphere here but unfortunatley it is. Windsor West offers 2 dog runs where dogs can play freely without a leash and play with other dogs. Where were the other dogs? Me and Ruby more than 75% of the time were left playing alone in the dog run by the nosiy interstate. All the residents left for work at the same time everyday Monday through Friday. Left at 8am and came home at 5 pm. And the percentage of hip young students who dont work 9-5 jobs here are virtually NON-EXISTENT. There really should be a mix and I dont see that here. Just too many families and couples and not enough young students and singles. If you are a older couple or family with a pet I would reccomend living at Windsor West Apartments but for younger adults and students I highly reccomend you dont choose Windsor West Apartments. Had a pretty descent expierience here.

The Windsor West community is hands down the very best place to live in Champaign-Urbana. The apartment community has fantastic amenities such as a clubhouse, pool, dog runs and trail along the pond and is also in a great, safe location just minutes away from grocery stores, delicious restaurants and the interstate. Windsor West delivers a superb living experience, with a modern and spacious floor plan and also, geothermal heating/cooling which helps us save on our monthly electric bill. More importantly, Windsor West offers excellent customer service. The team here is very responsive, takes all concerns to heart and has given us a wonderful place to live for the past 4 years. We are truly glad we have called Windsor West home.

Windsor West is great! Best value per square foot, I have the cheapest bills with the geothermal utilities. The apartment is spacious, it's very safe,clean, quiet, and family friendly.on the bus/bikelines to campus, and within walking distance to popular restaurants in a very desireable southwest Champaign residential area. The staff is wonderful & responsive, and it's extremely clean & dog-friendly here with both dogyards as well as the 7-acre city dogpark a few blocks down the street. No one stays just a year here, it's really great.

I have lived at Windsor West for 3 years, it's that good. Nobody stays just a year-it's like living at a resort. New, huge apartments (1.5 baths in the 1 bedroom's, attached garages, laundry room in each apartment with front-loading W/D included, big patio/balcony)in really clean, well landscaped & maintained complex (2 dog-yards, pool/clubhouse, giant pond with walking path, BBQ grills & picnic tables dotted throughout property, recycling valet, car wash; new YMCA across street with state of the art equipment, coaches & classes; pubs/restaurants, bank, convenience store, coffee shop, & dog park--all within a few block walking distance. Staff is friendly and responsive-everybody knows your (and your dog's) name, they'll even hand-deliver your packages securely inside your apartment for all you Amazon Prime & Thrive Market shoppers! The best part is honestly the value you get for the price. Compared to every other apartment in Champaign, it's literally the least expensive per square foot with all the amenities as well as the LOWEST utilities due to geothermal heating & air, & high quality buildings materials done right by good contractors (windows & doors - no drafts). It's an organic prairie chic utopia here. I honestly wish I could pick this complex up & move it with me when it's time for the next adventure, it would make life so much easier.
