Situated in the heart of America's Heartland, Ames is a college town in central Iowa. The city wraps around its stellar Iowa State University, the state's flagship university and a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities. Living in Ames, you'll be able to visit the university's museums, including the Brunnier Art Museum, the Anderson Sculpture Garden, and the Farm House Museum -- a National Historic Landmark, built in 1860 and the first building on campus. Property Ratings at Windsor Pointe
This community has really stepped up their game. Great new staff, refurbished apartments with new flooring and appliances.
During our time there they had 3 management shifts. They used this as an excuse multiple times when they seemed to lose things. They misplaced our "not renewing our lease" notice and tried to make us pay for an additional month. In the end we got it sorted out, but now after moving out we are having trouble once more. Iowa's law states that the landlord has a month to return the tenant's security deposit and before doing that present them with an itemized statement to show why the full amount isnt being returned. It had been over a month and we hadn't heard from them, so we called. We were told they had no record of our deposit. We got told multiple times that they would call us back. We never received a return call. We were also once hung up on. The fight for our deposit continues. Save yourself the hassle and find some place else to live, it's not like ames is short on apt complexes these days.
