it seems quiet, and nice on the outside but expect to pay more than just the rental fee... do your self a favor, look elsewhere, the things you expect to get better will only get worse, and anything changing is only a pipe dream. Rent will increase every year! - no end in sight, and reasoning isn't explained, other than "market conditions" They wont do updates, even if you're long term- but will continue to increase the rent year over year. Water, add that to your monthly bill. The water is brown and cloudy most times, and although they claim its safe, no tenants actually drink it. If you are in the older complex, expect to ROAST in the summer. There is no ac, and won't be provided by the property management, even if you try every year, they flat out refuse to help with the issue, even when mold growth is present due to the high level of humidity . - black mold and floor issues directly resulting in lack of moisture control for these units is not a concern at all for the higher ups of this property complex. Although the local onsite property manager is amazing, her hands are tied with higher ups refusing to do updates including leaking ceilings, replacement of old outdated appliances and fixtures. Getting a hold of anyone who can make any decisions is impossible as they flat out refuse to give out direct numbers. Maintenance will enter unit without notice, and nothing will be done about it. Your hard earned money for a place to call home is not here, they don't care about their buildings, their tenants or their staff, only the money you can give them each month, and when you finally decide to move out, they will make it near impossible to get your security deposit back.

Moving out is a challenge. When buying a home, there is no way to time closing with the end of your lease, so you will owe money, and they are not willing to work with you at all no matter how long you have lived there. The maintenance is sub par (hot water issues 4 times in 2 years), and the water is sulfur so I do not recommend drinking it. Keep looking!

I recently moved to willow wood apartments and it was the best move I could have made. It’s quiet! The neighbors are welcoming and friendly. The grounds are maintained and clean. So Pet friendly that you don’t have that worry your pet is going to bother anyone, yet everyone cleans up after their pets! That’s a huge plus! And with your heat water and cable included it just makes life simpler. Country setting but close enough downtown to work. Just all in all a good place to live and feel safe.

Nicely updated apts with some utilities included. Management is willing to put money back into the property which is nice. They are also super helpful with a great attitude and maintenance is always completing work orders in a timely manner. No snow removal or lawn care to worry about makes it stress free to live here!

My Husband and I have recently moved here (late October 2017) after selling our home very quickly. We absolutely love it here so far!! The premises are pet friendly, neighbors seem very nice and the property is well maintained. Willow Wood is located close enough to the city of Syracuse (not far from Cortland either) yet in a quiet, rural area. Shopping is super close. There are laundry facilities right on site (no laundromats to deal with :) ) and the hallways/corridors are cleaned professionally, along with the Laundry Room as well. The fact that your heat and cable are included, along with trash, are just added bonuses to living here. I would highly recommend Willow Wood to anyone.
