Situated in western Central Ohio about an hour’s drive north of Columbus, Marion is a small town steeped in a rich historical past. Home to President Warren G. Harding for most of his adult life, Marion contains the Harding Home Presidential Site and the Harding Memorial. Marion also has a wide variety of museums, such as the Huber Machinery Museum, Buckeye Telephone Museum, and the Wyandot Popcorn Museum.
Marion hosts the largest popcorn festival in the country in addition to numerous year-round downtown events, including Leap into Laughter, A Taste of Marion, Christmas in Downtown Marion, and Pop N Drop. Almost two miles of museums, performance venues, restaurants, shops, antique stores, and artisan retailers constitute Marion’s Cultural Corridor, providing a walkable space for residents and visitors to enjoy.
