In spite of its name, the Westside neighborhood sits in a fairly central location among Atlantic City’s various resources and attractions. Atlantic Avenue, the beach, and the coastal casinos are all within easy walking distance to the south; the Borgata (with its numerous moth-watering dining options) sits on the north end; and the Atlantic City Convention Center, the rail terminal, and much of the local shopping lies just southwest of the neighborhood. Within the community, folks enjoy a quiet, mostly-residential atmosphere. A few small corner markets and delis keep the population well-fed and well-supplied. Several public parks and schools are scattered throughout the neighborhood as well, making it easy to get around on foot.
