The first thing you'll probably notice about Downtown Olympia is its large, impressive murals -- these bright, colorful works of art adorn the sides of several buildings. Walk along the wide, tree-lined sidewalks and you'll discover charming shops and restaurants contained in those historic brick buildings. Head toward Puget Sound and admire the sailboats, yachts, and fishing boats dotting the water and lining the marina.
As a hub for artists and musicians, Downtown Olympia has a style and flavor all its own. Enjoy the beautiful, serene views from Heritage Park or the stunning backdrop of the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier. Downtown is home to the Farmers Market, the Hands On Children's Museum, eight public parks, five theaters, and a twice-a-year art walk.

Property Ratings at Westman Mills Townhome & Apartments
Hi- I moved to Westman Mill when it was first built in June 2021. The first thing I’d like to say is I absolutely adored Teri the property manager, she went above and beyond. She placed shipped items herself into my apt before I even stepped foot. My 1bd/1bath was extremely spacious, the price was great, I had parking, and very close to the children's wet museum + downtown fun. I loved the relaxing blue accent wall + floor to ceiling windows brought the whole place together. If you’re considering moving in DO IT! I’ll miss my huge kitchen, incredibly spacious bathroom, but most importantly I’ll miss my casual chats with Teri in the lobby.

So glad to hear you love the bright blue wall! I did too. We really appreciate all your kind words, and grateful to have had you in the community. The location is fantastic, the people also make it wonderful. Thank you for tenancy, and hope our paths will cross again; we will be here if you ever find yourself needing a place in Olympia.
Terri goes above and beyond for the tenants and is receptive to ideas presented. The apartments are clean/quality and there is timely responses to any maintenance issues. Great views throughout the building. This place is a wonderful place to live with a great community.

Thank you so much for your review. I am glad to hear you are enjoying your community. We are proud of all of our inventory, but Westman Mill, being the newest, we are very delighted to have so many happy people living and working in the downtown area! Stay healthy, Stay happy, summer is on its way. The town is opening up even more each week. The city of Olympia is working diligently to make the downtown a destination of fun this summer.
We have lived here since for almost a year and were among the very first tenants. The property has spectacular views of the inlet and the Olympics. Our unit faces North so we do not get much if any road noise. I do understand how that might not be the case for those on the south side. This is an urban environment and with that you will have mostly all good (almost everything you need is walkable and so many interesting and fun things to do) and a little bad (some property crime … i.e. the occasional car break in or bike theft) but nothing scary. At least that has been our experience. Yes there is homelessness but that is the case for any urban environment. Mgmt has always been very responsive to us when needed and thus far that has only been normal maintenance issues. Nothing major. My advice to anyone is to spend a little time in downtown Olympia before committing. Urban living is not for everyone but for those that do want it, this is a solid property with great people. We have a lot of fun!

Good afternoon, It is great to see all the community at Westman Mill enjoying their homes. The kind words are greatly appreciated. Working together to change the Urban living downtown takes great tenants like yourself to help make it better!
The community is really starting to be close nit. The community room allows us to meet and play pool, watch games, one tenant even did food help for the holidays in the community kitchen. The super bowl game with more then 15 of us was so much fun. When you are lucky enough to live in a building that has such great views of the Olympics, the water, and northwest greenery, there is nothing better! The sunshine "funshine" of the community deck was so fun this summer. I am part of making the downtown better! I like the new buildings and all the new construction that is changing my neighborhood. Dont knock it until you try it, I am choosing to live downtown and it is great.

Thank you for mentioning the nature and great views downtown. Westman Mill Apartments, is in a great location! Glad you are part of the building.
Major construction inside the property and nearby. Management will not address construction noise issues. Numerous homeless people surround the location. it is terrifying to be around in the afternoon and nighttime. Located extremely close to the bus station, where homeless people live (many tents set up) and people scream throughout the night. This is legal and the police will not do anything to fix. Packages are stolen often.

As homelessness rises throughout the country, we at Urban Management Co. are grateful to the Olympia community that supports all the quality tenants moving into downtown to change the statistics. The support from the city with programs like The Clean Team helping remove debris, The Downtown Ambassadors helping to move along the transients, and the Walking Police Patrol, allows new residents to feel safe and comfortable. The construction of the two townhomes is wrapping up now, the final 6 are getting interior touches added. The construction itself should be done March 2022. I am unaware of stolen mail at the building, we did install the Parcel Pending boxes during the original construction of the apartment building in 2021. This service is a choice and I hope all tenants have signed up for this option. The building is locked and the public does not have access to the lobby area. I appreciate all the tenants that reside in the building and very grateful the Westman Mill community is located in an Urban renewal environment. Each new building continues to re-purpose the location surrounding the new development. We couldn't be happier to have built on a site with the views of the Swan Town Marina waterfront, The Hands On Children's Museum, and City Hall.
Management is receptive to ideas, accessible for help and responsive to our needs. I am a mature adult and live on the 5th floor of this site with my wife. We're in the apartment units not the townhome units. In our experience with the unit we have not had any maintenance issues but when communicating with Teri concerning other topics we have had a very warm and professional experience.

Thank you so much for the review. I know it takes time to write a review and we are all busy these days. I am grateful to be a part of changing the Urban living environment in downtown Olympia one building and one tenant at a time. Thank you both for being a great part of the change!
I was on of the first tenants to move in to Westman Mill apartments. I was aware of the construction on 2 other buildings still being built to complete this community, glad they are done... The apartment is beautiful, the views are gorgeous, and the management company has been awesome. The manager is always been quick to help, the maintenance is the same. I haven't lived urban in a long time and this has been a great experience. I could not have done it without Teri helping me every step of the way.
This location has an extreme number of homeless people outside the building and living right by the front doors under the entry way. Police cannot prevent them from living here. Property manager is never available.
