graystar is good company but they have to workout with tenants not breaking front doors locks just because they don’t have access to they unit when in one unit suppost to live on or two persons but live 10 in one bedroom apartment even graystar give one key access only to the persons who is on the least the rest of the residents keep breaking the doors locks to get in to the building that is not fear one person paying for one apartment and other resident living with 10 others just to not pay that much !

I had a great experience at the Resident Office front desk. The two guys Jonathan and Felipe working there were very professional, welcoming, and helpful. Nice location but no parking, building is not clean as should be. The office never answered when tenants go to the offices the people work there have nasty attitude, rude and disrespectful.

I recommend If you like to go grocery shopping This is best place to live. But you should know that Unit appliances are old and trash fee and maintenance fees is a little of higher and no more awards for over years house holders. washing machines are not woking well.

Convenience is nice and the Staff are attentive but the building is old and has too many issues. Online portal is very good too. Overall it is just too expensive for what you get.

Neighbors are extremely, annoyingly loud. However, the Apartments are situated near various outlets and grocery stores which is very convenient.

I’ve been living in Westlake for over two years now, and I’m quite satisfied. Trader Joe’s and Safeway are close by, and the BART station is also nearby, which makes life very convenient. The only downside is the limited parking, but I know you can’t have everything. Overall, I’m happy living here under these reasonable conditions.

Everything was made clear and I was always attended to right away! I truly appreciate it. Glad I was able to find the right space for me to live at in Westlake Apartments
the parking is bad. it’s said that i have to sit outside for hours with my kids to get a park. sometimes i have to leave my car double parked all night until like six or seven and of course I wake up with a ticket on my car and I live here. This is every day the neighbors bring their friends cars over and hold the park all day and relay coworkers and hold the parks all day. It’s really sad. everything falls apart in here the paint is cheap. The blinds are cheap. They just fall right off and break. I see rats by the garbage cans outside. It’s really bad.

My original move-in date was the 26th pushed back my move-in date to the 30th, because they aren’t done painting yet, but I still have to pay for that extra week
This place must be pretty busy, I don't get return phone calls, or I get days later phone calls, that I miss because I'm at work. The reason I call is for communication on what I need , and how to go about info i need to get things done. I just had maintenance personnel hang up my call because of roach problem (need answers). There's other concerns I have, but calling is bad no one ever answers always recorder

Our overall experience has been fine, but one major downside is the noise from the resident upstairs. We can often hear them, and it gets especially loud at night when they are walking, playing music, or watching TV late. Now we understand why previous tenants in this unit decided to move out. It really affects the comfort of living here.

The noise reduction could be better. The neighbor who resides above my apartment constantly makes loud thump sounds. I have raised this concern to the management team several times however, there has not been a resolution to the ongoing issue. A quiet, central location within easy reach of everything. I can walk to the shops, which I think is great. The apartments have a good number of bedrooms.

I have always complain about the rat roaming around inside my house and in our building. All tenants was complaining but they didn’t address the problem. Every 2 or 3 weeks there’s a Pest Control checking and putting the mouse sticker with peanut butter but it never help. The more they put the trap the more the rat will come especially in the middle of the night. One time I woke around4 in the morning, as soon as I open my room door 5 big rats running around in the kitchen. Westlake should be paying attention of our problems when it comes to sanitize the property. Some neighbors that I talked to wants to complain to Health Department. This rat problem been a problem for a long time. Before it was a cockroaches not still rats roaming around in the building. Kindly please address this problem. We tried so hard clean our apartment but every day you will see rat poops every where. We want to live here because it’s very convenient but how about our health?

The exterior of the buildings were painted but inside is old. The kind of people who live here (of course not all), have no respect for where they live. Trash outside thrown from their porch, trash left in hallways or stairwells, leakage from trash bags in elevators, halls, stairwell… dog pee in halls & stairwell, poop isn’t picked up when there are bags provided for the community. I am always seeing vomit while walking around, beer bottles and food/trash on the floor. Holes in stairwell walls, mold spore growing in a wall in the stairwell, someone has broken the lobby door twice in about a year, a door handle is currently hanging off, 4 washers & dryers on 2 sides of the building - with as many people who live here is hard! The washers are gross. What they charge for utilities just doesn’t seem reasonable because of the way it’s divided between all tenants/units in building. Layouts of units don’t seem very thought out. Could find roaches, my neighbor had seen some in her unit.

Westlake community has many positive features. It is clean, maintained daily. The shopping mall, restaurants are practically on your doorstep. There is even a post office couple blocks away, a bank next door. The staff are courteous, friendly, and willing to help as best they can.

South Palm is a great place to live in. The staff and maintenance team are all very professional, efficient, and courteous. Although the building is old, it is still one of the most affordable and secure places in the Bay Area.

With the new management of Greystar, it looks different compared to the previous management because of issues brought upon by tenants like us, my brother and I are all taken care of right away with no waiting period. Cleanliness of all hallways and outside surroundings. Leasing Office staff greeted you with a great smile and politely talked to you, they listened to your concerns if there were any.

Parking is an endless competition. It will always seem like there is space open in reserved parking but you will never be contacted on if a spot is available. Rent is 200-300 more than expected because of shared utilities.

No recomendaría a alguien venir a vivir en estos departamentos ahora hay muchas fallas el mantenimiento de las instalaciones es deplorable está sucio no lavan las alfombras de los pasillos la basura muchas veces está regada en el piso porque NO la recolectan, hay RATAS corriendo entre las paredes a toda hora, si se reporta alguna anomalía dentro del departamento hay que esperar mucho tiempo para que la reparen o hay veces que no tienen las parte dañada y toma semanas para que quede reparado el problema.

If no improvement on the units just make the rent/garage parking more affordable or make a program for long time renters. I see alot done outside but zero inside.

After a few weeks into the apartment, I discovered it had bed bugs coming out of their floor panel. Found one on my matress. I also had bed bug bites on my face. I even found a bed bug EGG. The front office did not act quickly. It was a difficult process to get maintainence to FINALLY send pest control. It took ONE month, multiple emails, calls, and appointments with their maintainence crew. The administration office did not act quickly enough. After pest control sprayed, I arrived to my apartment to find dead roaches of all sizes along the living room wall. Some of the live roaches were the size of a quarter. There was also a terrible sewage odor in the entire apartment. Random huge flies in the living room. The maintainence blamed the smell on a possible issue under the apartment (they never checked it out). I had to pay out of my lease due to the terrible living conditions. They tried to blame me for the bed bugs. The neighbor next door stated people move in and out of that apartment every 3 months. This company is engaging in questionable and unethical practices. It is infested with pests. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don't put yourself and your family through the stress.
