Property Ratings at West End Lofts
Love living here. Great location. The apartments on the first floor are gorgeous. Everything is so close. I can walk or bike anywhere downtown or near the bay and tart trail. I don't particularly care for the package pick up system. It seems disorganized and hard to find packages.
Love living here! The location is convenient. The management team is kind and helpful! The residents are great! We enjoy meeting the people here because most of them are the movers and shakers of Traverse City!
I lived here while working in traverse city for a year and loved it. I wish I could have stayed longer! If I get to live in traverse city again I will move back to West End Lofts!
This is by far the best apartment I have lived in and you can't beat the location. I am so happy to live here!
I love living here, it’s so nice living right downtown and in a dog friendly community. Love having Gypsy Spirits right downstairs too!! Best apartment ever
Not impressed. Granted I have not rented an apartment in many years. Common areas are in need of attention. The elevated is always dirty and has an odor. You can tell there is no sense of pride for where you live. Parking garage is dirty, especially near the elevator. Our apartment happens to overlook the courtyard. We have almost no natural light. Very dark even in the daylight. Parking is awful if you have more than one vehicle. If you have visitors, there is nowhere for them to park. Decided not to renew our lease.
I love coming home to my space. It is so beautiful and serene. There is virtually no neighbor noise which is mind blowing for a building with 99 apartments. We had a real ‘up north’ Michigan winter last year, and being able to park underground and hop into a frost free car was so wonderful (as well as the heated sidewalks and driveway if you venture outside). The features and fixtures of the units are elegant and make me feel so proud of my home. Thanks to Stephanie for making the move simple and painless.
Enjoying living here so far. So close to everything and the apartment itself is beautiful. A bit noisy. The hallway echos, since there is not a private entrance.
I love my apartment. But I am horrified at the condition of a virtually new building because of dogs. The floor of the elevator is soaked in dog urine and dog hair. The halls that I have been walking from the elevator to my apartment have become spotted and ugly with dog urine. You should not allow dogs in such confined living arrangements as apartments. And yes, there’s barking and whining. Big and expensive mistake!

I think the maintenance is slipping around the property. The public areas are showing signs of wear and tear. Have met some wonderful neighbors here. The apartment itself is very sufficient. Location is perfect. Parking has improved.
Beautiful spot! Great distance to TC. Clean looking apartments and cute colors. Beach walkable! Can’t wait for the rest of the summer living here.
I love living here! The residents are so nice and friendly, and the building is well maintained. Even while they are doing remodels, they still maintain a clean area.
I've lived here for about 9 months now, and the new apartments are nice looking, plus the location in downtown TC is great. The onsite gym is pretty good and the community space that overlooks the river is nice. Aside from that, the building utilities/amenities are overpriced. The sound proofing between floors is terrible. The upstairs neighbor stomps around and now has taken to listening to heavy bass music at all hours of the day and night. Neighbors with dogs are allowed, without consequence, to let their pets use their balconies as their private bathrooms which in turn makes anyone else's balcony below a disgusting mess. Management is exceptionally slow to fix these issues, if at all, nor do they offer any compensation or proactive measures to address the problem. Many people do not renew their leases, and I think it boils down to poor management and communication of the building and it's tenants.
We love it here, this place is like a dream come true for us! Stephanie has been so wonderful in getting us settle and helping us with troubleshooting. Cannot recommend WEL enough!
I love my apartment. Despite new building issues, it’s a great building with good in house management and maintenance. An ongoing issue is Parking. It’s also in a great location with many things to do and see.
Stephanie, the leasing agent/manager is fantastic! She has exceeded my expectations over and over again. So nice to live in a community where you are treated as a valued tenant.
We love living here! Stephanie and Max are top notch! We tell all our friends about how much we love living here. The location is prime and parking is a breeze.
Management has horrible communication. Location is great but I’ve had SO many problems with appliances not working, which is disappointing since I was the first occupant of the unit. It took over 2 months for contractors to come fix the problem, and management never responded to call/emails. I haven’t had any issues with parking since moving in, but it is extremely limited and very expensive. Overall I wouldn’t recommend unless they were under new office management.
Very expensive for the quality of work done in the units / care taken of the facility. So many things wrong with construction inside units, which is concerning as this is a brand new build. Property management response times and communication is severely lacking even with an office on site (which seems to never be occupied).
I absolutely love living at West End Lofts! The apartments are modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The amenities are fantastic—everything from the gym to the community spaces feels top-notch. The management team is friendly and responsive. The location is perfect too, with great access to everything I need. Highly recommend West End Lofts to anyone looking for a great place to call home!

As a new resident of West End Lofts, my recent experience has been incredibly smooth. Stephanie is the primary contact I interacted with and she was prompt, courteous and only increased my resolve to become a tenant. The process was exceptionally easy and I am grateful every day that I have moved into such a beautiful, low maintenance space. Service is top notch. Design is gorgeous. I don't ever want to move!
So far the entire application process, taking possession of the keys, and seeing the unit has been super great and I’m looking forward to life here for the next year!
I just moved in and the process was pretty seamless. Having electronic access made it easy for the mover when they arrived. The unit was clean and everything in good order. I really that all my utilities are bundled into one price. The only issue I have had is parking. My 2nd day here, someone parked in my assigned garage space which led to other issues since there is no surface parking.
Great location in town. Walk to everything . Great service from maintenance team. Questionable build. You can easily hear people above you and on to street.

West End Apartments couldn't be more beautiful. I love all the windows in my corner apartment. Beautiful countertops, great flooring, high ceilings.

The community seems to be nice, we have met some lovely people. Meeting different types of people here has been good experience. Our manager and maintenance are some of the best we have ever come across. Our apartment is VERY beautiful. We are very glad to be here.

The location is great. It was nice walking into a brand new apartment with nice amenities. I’m happy they are getting recycling now. I like that there are cleaners coming in weekly to keep the place looking nice . The Courtyard and gym are fantastic. I love the underground parking. if something needs to be fixed it is done so very promptly which is greatly appreciated. I don’t mind the dogs because I love dogs, but there do seem to be a lot of accidents on the carpet that some residents don’t find the respect to clean it up after their pet. That part is a little frustrating. Overall has been a good experience so far.
It’s the perfect place for the DT TC experience. The building is extremely well made. I never hear my neighbors. All I hear is the traffic outside the windows.
Beautiful well built, quiet building with respectful neighbors. Spacious apartments. Great gym and community space. Very conveniently located. I’m very frustrated with the lack of recycling for our building. There’s a ton of recyclable boxes and plastic items in our garbage that’s going straight to a landfill. They need to add recycling. Overall great place to live.
We had a few hiccups here and there on moving day but otherwise I am pleased so far. The apartment is nice and clean. My view of the dumpster is not the best but I knew about that beforehand so it is what it is.
This complex is not even full yet and parking in already a problem. Not enough spaces and a poor app to allocate them. Residents parking in other's spots and management not doing anything about it.
