West Creek Village

My husband and I came to tour an apartment and learn about the community. Alivia N. gave us a tour of one of the 2 bedroom 2 bath apartments. The tour was great our guide was very professional and informative. I loved the pool on the property and overall the neighborhood looked nice. Ample parking and it looks well maintained and clean.

I am looking to move to this area. I called and asked about setting up a tour. Alivia was more than willing to assist me. I came in the next day for a tour and she was so informative with loads full of knowledge. I have never had such a great experience touring an apartment in my life. This tour alone with her upbeat positive attitude was enough to make me want to apply, let alone the experience she gave me on the tour was beyond amazing. This property meets all of my needs and I am so excited get the process started to move it!

I toured this wonderful property on a Saturday and fell in love! Alivia was very helpful with all my requests and questions. The application was super simple and quick.

My husband & I have lived here since 2017. All of the West Creek Team are very friendly, & work very diligently to correct any issues 24/7! Honestly! Our H20 heater broke at 2a.m. On a Sunday morning. We called the emergency number, maintenance number, within an hour Dave arrived with a smile on his face. By 6 a.m. a new H20 heater was in place. Recently the seem in our wall to wall carpet was fraying. Thank you to Junior head of maintenance & Precious the property mgr. The carpet was immediately repaired. Just know management will not play with neighbors who think rules aren’t for them! There are police from different agency’s who do live here. I just can’t say enough about how nice a place West Creek is! Family friendly, upgrades to property continues to happen. It’s definitely a place to call home!

I applied to this place planning to move from my current apartment to here. Not only was the application approval process long and tedious (around 2 weeks and a half to even get my application processed). But the property manager was telling me that I had to break my lease and pay the breaking fees for my current apartment before I even get an approval from them. This was basically putting my living space in jeopardy but also my money because what if they somehow denied me and they made me break my lease beforehand? I would have been out of a home and $3,000. I tried to explain this to them and they basically didn’t care and said I had to do it in order to get a decision on my application. Nevertheless, I looked for other apartments and I asked each leasing agent from then on what their process was for people with previous leases and told them my experience and each one said that my experience with West Creek shouldn’t have happened and realistically I should have been given an approval or denial before making me break any lease or fees (giving up my home). After all this, they said my holding fee was non-refundable. Therefore, if you want somewhere that you’ll know your status quickly and are willing to see things from their applicants POV and be sympathetic, don’t move here.

They never come out and fix any issues with the apartment. They use the same excuse everytime. An emergency came up and no one could make It out… when the request was put in over a month ago. The apartment is full of silver fish. The apartments will have you hot, the a/c picks and chooses when It works. They don’t come out and fix It.

Terrible communication, misleading information, and awful customer service. I’m sure the units are great but I would not recommend working with this management office. Before applying, I called 2x to make sure they had a unit available that fit my budget, and they gave me the availability date which was exactly what I was asking and applying for. I got the lease contract and they assigned me a unit above my budget and told me they never had an available unit at the cost they originally said. I was gaslit and laughed at. I did my homework and documented information for several complexes. I don’t know what I could have done differently.

I never ever write reviews but this just was necessary. Was really eager about this apartment complex, but after scheduling an appointment for a tour I get a call from a lady in the leasing office saying, "don't waste your time coming here we have an apartment available during that time you were looking to move in, but someone else is PROBABLY going to get it." Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. What kind of complex tells you "Don't waste your time"? If you are even thinking of applying or touring...DON'T. This treatment is just a glimpse of what you would get. I called other apartments around and they were very happy to give me a tour.

Never ever think to live in this community, property manager is unprofessional and do nothing to solve the issues instead they will ignore you. How come you become a property manager if you do nothing to make this community peace and quiet, neighbors are so disrespectful and you won’t have a peaceful life here, call and file a complaint many times but instead of solving the issue it’s getting more and more worst, management only care about money not for people live here. And sure you would love this I lost money ?? in my pocket book only maintenance who came and fixed the toilet that day and my money was gone and when I report to management instead they addressed it they blamed me for putting money on my pocket book isn’t stupid to blamed you for putting money on your pocketbook? I’m so glad that we moving out in here and find a really nice community and management. So I would say west creek is not the place you looking for if you want a peaceful life. Worst management and property manager I’ve ever known. Don’t waist your money here it not worth it to live here..

No issues since moving in a year ago. Staff is very helpful answering the questions we had. Always answer phones and polite. Great value for the area comparable places.

been living here for quite some years. it used to be a great community, however, it seems like management hired the most incompetent staff in the past year or so. maintenance staff is terrible, does not complete service requests properly. staff in leasing office turn a blind eye to tenants' needs and keep talking about how handling 500 apartments is very difficult for them (isn't that the job?). won't recommend anyone to live here until they make drastic improvements.

Ongoing struggle since 2018 with neighboring tenants smoking in designated non-smoking units. Smell gets it through vents and open windows. Seems to be little consequence for violating the lease in this regard. Enjoy most other things about this property but the ongoing issue of smoking seems to only be increasing, decreasing my enthusiasm for living here.

I've submitted requests to fix my apartment's broken washing machine for 10 months, and they have yet to do anything.

West Creek has it pros and cons while I lived there. Pros: nice new construction area, breakfast area during business week, rent is decent compared to area and Newark apartments only in the new construction. Cons: loud nose, the design of the apartment doesn’t make sense, the master bedroom is located near the front of the apartment and near the stairs so you can hear people coming down the stairs at all times of the night. You can’t enjoy the patio outside area due to bugs, wasps, and spiders! Lots of bugs to the point I was nervous that my family would be bitten. Spiders come into the house through vents as well. Maintenance doesn’t seem to spray or keep up Pest control. Neighbors leave trash outside of their doors and it builds up. Doesn’t seem like there are consequences to not following the rules within the community regarding trash. The trash cans overflow weekly which is a bad selling point. They should have put up some fences or something to concel the garbage. I notice they don’t follow the pet weight requirement. I noticed dogs that were well over the 35 pound limit. Also, they don’t empty out the doggie poop stations enough so the grass areas smelled horrible. They also don’t fix the Lids on the can so the top doesn’t close all the way which makes it smell badly. They offer smoking in the new construction that doesn’t make sense. So there are cigarettes butts everywhere. The front office could work on their effectiveness and consistency. They are super nice at the beginning when selling the apartment but change after time. It’s unprofessional. They also don’t follow their policies such as rent due dates without being charged late fees, community expectations, etc... It’s an okay place to live but it’s not the best. Do more research prior to living here. This was my families experience. I can’t say the same for others but this were the issues we dealt with while living there.

Do not lease here, they record everything you say and end up holding it against you. Also they’re very ignorant. The staff will just say things they know nothing about

My husband and I lived in West Creek Village for over two years. We battled numerous issues. 1.) Rodents we constantly had a mouse problem. We had to keep all food high on the shelves and all the did was place traps. We eventually had to buy our own traps because they never did anything. 2.)I found mold and water damage in the hall closet and we got an infestation of drain flies. I moved the dishwasher and found nasty standing water under it. I called the first time and the mechanic came while I was out and left a note saying they found nothing wrong. I took pictures moved the dishwasher left it out so they couldn’t miss it the next time they come in. I went to the office showed them the pictures and then she sent someone over again. They still didn’t fix it fully so I had the manager come to my apartment and look herself. Finally they replaced the flooring and carpet. 3.) when the tenant above us would use their disposal our kitchen sink would back up with their mast water. Never was fixed we just used draino and took care of it our self. 4.) Mildew and mood was awful. We couldn’t use curtains because the mildew would grow on the walls behind the curtains. If we had furniture angled in a corner mildew would grown up the walls in the corner and on the carpet. NOT NORMAL!!! Let them know of the issue with pictures once again. Sprayed it with some solution mold kept coming back. 5.) Finally this was the last straw. I noticed some black water stains coming from our cable outlet in our bedroom. Upon inspection I realize that our brand new dresser was warped with water damage. Go to the manager and they inform that apparently the person above us had their bedroom flood. Which we were never told! Also they had to of had a toilet leak to have a leak in their bedroom. So toilet water leaked down our walls and into our carpet enough to soak up into my dresser and ruin it. Toilet water is a health hazard. They did nothing. Painted the small patch where you can see the water spot on the wall. When asked to replace our furniture they said that’s why they make us has insurance. We fought them and said it was their fault because they lacked in informing us of the flood of toilet water!!!! She told us to call our insurance. So we did the deductible was more than the dresser. So we asked them to pay for it. She said no because it’s our fault for what insurance we choose. HORRIBLE UNSANITARY PLACE AND AWFUL MANAGEMENT!!!!

The main reason I chose West Creek Village compared to other apartment buildings in the area is the large floor plan that is actually more affordable than many other places around here. Plus the property is huge which is great for walking my dog. In addition, the property manager is the most reasonable and friendly person I’ve met at an apartment complex and the rest of the staff is extremely helpful as well. Highly recommend living here.

I have lived here since 2015. The staff are great people and very friendly. The apartments are very well built and well maintained I haven't had a maintenance issue since I moved in. They have lots of new construction and they have smoke free and pet friendly units! I was the first person to live in my unit. The complex is about a half mile down from the main road and so serene. My unit faces a wooded area and a small stream its an incredible view its like I live in a little forest!! I can leave my windows open and have privacy and fresh air. This has to be the best community I have lived in hands down and I plan to continue living here. its convenient to shopping and the Delaware state line. If there's any issues or problems you can walk right into the rental office and they will resolve it. They always have fun contest and activities its a great community to live in. I truly love it here!

I have been living at West Creek Village for the last 3 years. The experience has been great. Every time I have had to put in a service request it is completed 1 or two days later and dealing with the office staff has been a pleasure. Natasha is a great person and is always willing to help you no matter what the issue is. I 100% recommend anyone looking for a place to live to look at West Creek Village. Joe Baranello

My children and I have been living here for almost 3 years. From the management, to the leasing staff to the wonderful neighbors, they have made living here a treat. There are so many wonderful events: pool parties, cook outs, trunk or treat, waffle breakfast, movies under the stars, etc that allows everyone to feel apart of the community. We all care for and look out for our neighbors. My lease is coming up for another 2 year renewal and without a doubt I will renew. This is home. This is OUR HOME.

Living in West Creek Village for a year was an awful experience. Our apt initially smelled like wet paint but quickly a smell of cigarette smoke took over, the foundation was cracked & moisture issues led to black mold problems, & the front office did not rectify any of our complaints. The pros & cons of WCV were: Pros: I never worried about my safety in the complex. Maintenance staff was friendly & trustworthy. Our neighbors were not noisy or disruptive. Cons: -The lease was ~25 pages long, & seems to make everything against the rules (eg. hanging anything on the walls). -Our apt smelled like cigarette smoke for an entire year (we do not smoke). We tried many solutions, nothing worked. Our clothing & furniture smelled like smoke. We repeatedly reached out to WCV, & offered to paint to seal in the smell if they would cover the cost of paint. WCV sent maintenance to put a fragrant gel in our air unit (it did not fix the smell). -The apt had humidity problems. We ran a dehumidify every day. Once a week I cleaned black mold from the sinks, toilets, & showers. When we moved out, we found black mold growing on the wall behind my dresser. -Maintenance frequently did not have the parts they needed to finish a job. It took days for parts to come in & problems fixed. In the year we lived there, we called maintenance for: leaking dishwasher, front window would not lock (never fixed), running toilet (3 times for the same toilet), front door lock broke, sliding glass door lock broke. -They will not schedule maintenance under any circumstance. We had to lock our cat in the bathroom for a week straight because WCV would not schedule our maintenance for a specific day, & it took a week to get to us. -The grounds were swampy, there were lots of mosquitos, & we frequently saw frogs and snakes. We never used the patio for our apt because of mosquitos.

Recently my husband & I had to make a very unexpected, unplanned move from another apartment complex. We had two weeks to find a new home, pack & move. Peggy, Joy, & Natasha went out of their way to not only make our move possible they treated us with the greatest respect, made us feel at home, welcomed & reasured us we had made the correct decision to move into West Creek Village. Within the two week period I mentioned, we were moved in & 3 days later completely unpackaged! This all happen the last part of August & moved in by September 1, 2017. The Maintenance team is excellent! We had a few small items that needed to be fixed, within 3 days they were done! Last Friday afternoon our washer stopped working. I called the office toward closing time spoke to Peggy. By this Monday morning the maintenance had the washer repaired! It was s sensor! Being a retired property manager from another company I totally understand what the office staff & maintenance team go through. West Creek is a beautiful & safe place to live! The apartment has large rooms, nice closet space, a decent size kitchen, & a regular size stack able washer & dryer! I cannot say enough about West Creek Village! You won't regret moving here!!

I am a former resident there at West Creek, and I have to say that my time there was amazing! The Staff is always ready to assist, and the communication is great. I would strongly recommend this community to anyone looking to move to the Elkton, MD area!

The apartment is clean and spacious. The complex is peaceful and friendly. The staff is very, very helpful and accommodating. The maintenance crew came out at late hours to repair the heat (the sensor had to be replaced) and followed up the next day (even left us a space heater in case the furnace acted up again) with a visit. They care for the roads, sidewalks, shovel snow off the balconies. So nice to be taken care of. The office staff is always so nice and helpful. They have special events for the community, a website to communicate with staff and other tenants, an office area for internet access, video library, books, a gym, a pool, plenty of sunshine :) My family is very happy here. Thank you West Creek Village!

I have just renewed my lease for a third year at West Creek Village and am not going anywhere for a while. The online rent payment and service requests make life so convenient, especially where matters that concern us tenants are addressed so quickly and with such little hassle. The premises are kept clean and pristine, and the interior of every unit reflects the inviting outward appearance of the community. With events that make living at West Creek Village inclusive and inviting, it's wonderful to feel like every time I turn onto my street I truly am in a home that is a happy and relaxing haven.

This was a great community. It was quiet, clean, and safe. The grounds were well kept, and the space was inviting. I found the pool and fitness center to be a great asset to the community and I used both often. The location is really convenient as the complex is right off of the I-95 corridor. Management was very courteous and responsive and maintenance left paperwork whenever they entered the unit in my absence. They would also host nice events for the residents such as an annual bbq. I would recommend this community to anyone moving to the area. David W.

I love my apartment it is clean newer everything nice pool and excerise room, very spacious , and the people in the office are just wonderful.

Just moved in and so far so good. The rent is very reasonable. The space and layout are efficient. The staff are pretty friendly, but most importantly they are organized. We honestly like the community that has been built at West Creek. The front porch looks out onto the parking lot, which in the afternoon is filled with parents playing with their children. If we want a more peaceful environment, we just move to the back porch which overlooks a quiet expanse of grass and trees. The apartment isn't completely soundproofed, but that can be expected in any apartment. Hopefully the experience continues to be a good one. I'll write another review after I move out.

We pay about 1K for 2BR 2BA, it is a decent apartment for a good price. They even throw in free breakfast on weekday mornings (carbs). My complaints are: The gym is really poorly maintained; there is only ever one treadmill working at a time and the squeaking on the bikes and elliptical is unbearable. There are only 2 recycling dumpsters on the grounds. We are only wired for comcast. There is a high turnover rate at the leasing office. Maintenance is eh.
