With a variety of parks and bike paths (such as the Fox River Trail), Montgomery has ample green space for picnics and hiking. The Fox River, as well as several lakes and ponds throughout the village, provide terrific opportunities for fishing. Settler's Cottage Museum is a fun way to learn more about the history of the area. The cottage is the oldest building in the village, dating back to the 1840s.
