I worked with Gigi and she made everything go smoothly. She was friendly, helpful, and informative. I was approved quickly and was able to move in the next day. I had been applying to apartments all week and this was the easiest experience I had and the apartment is wonderful. The grounds are clean and well kept and there are a lot of amenities. I found my apartment to be clean, the appliances new, and the size is very large, particularly for the price. This is definitely the best deal in town.

Been a resident for 10 years and this is the absolute WORST these apartments have been since my tenancy. If you are reading these reviews, notice how they used to be mostly positive but in the last year have been nothing but 1 star reviews. Previous posters are correct... rent was raised more in the last year than nearly the last 5 years COMBINED, all while the service has gone completely downhill. Parking has become a nightmare with no attempts by management to corral the situation. I literally have to park in a complete other section of the complex sometimes, 3 - 4 buildings away. The other posters comment regarding the laundry machines is 100% accurate, as most machines do not work as intended 90% of the time via an app to start them. Also, pools do not seem to contain the cooling units that cool the water as the pools feel like a warm bath. Currently, I am writing this after 5 days with NO AC. A window unit was put in the living room by maintenance but it has not been working properly. The past 3 days the temperature in the apartment has reached 90 - 93 degrees while we have elderly family in town and I am concerned for their health. REPEATED calls to the office got me nowhere as I kept getting the run around on the status of the AC repairs and continued to report that the window unit provided was not working well enough. I was promised calls back with an ETA, but none came. I finally went into the office in person where I found the maintenance supervisor after FIVE days with no AC for him to tell me he didn't know when it would be fixed. It took FIVE DAYS just to get that answer. The communication from the staff is SORELY lacking and they treat you like you're the problem when you complain, or say "thanks" with little to no effort to resolve issues. I asked the supervisor to put himself in my shoes and his exact response was "I don't need to put myself in your shoes". I was asked to leave the office, and although I was told they would replace the window unit I have yet to see it. My guess is that the exchange with the maintenance supervisor hurt my chances at getting proper help. In my eyes this would fall under "retaliatory". I really used to like this place, but after some time with the new management I may be seriously considering moving after over 10 years. I would advise anyone looking for an apartment to pass on this place unless it falls under new management, or at the very least, start to see improvements in their reviews.

We compiled a running list about Waterchase over the year that we lived there. I could go into details about every point, but to make it easier to read I’ll leave it in list format. Overall, if you have a relatively low standard of living and can get past some tragic downfalls in order to fit a tight budget, it might be an ok option for you. If you can afford to live somewhere else, it would be worth it. + Positives + -Plenty of parking -Prompt maintenance (though not always thorough) -Pest control will come to your unit weekly if scheduled (only treats requested units, takes months to work, whole property is not treated) -Well maintained landscaping -Spacious -Feels safe in complex -Large lanai -Friendly people -Quiet -Close to the beach -Negatives - -Roach infestation in kitchen cabinets upon move in (spent whole first day scrubbing roach poop out of cabinets with Lysol) -Had to keep apartment extremely clean, take food trash out every night, no dishes in sink, all food in airtight containers bc of roach problem -Cabinets otherwise in bad shape too.. Mold spots? Oil spots? Idk. -Water damage to bathroom floor/baseboards -Tub coating is a filth magnet (can’t stay clean, footprints don’t wipe up) -Toilet leaked at base several times and still didn’t flush properly after many repairs -Sewage backup into tub on one occasion (We were responsible for cleaning it up, other units in our building were flooded) -Excessive random water shut offs (at least monthly) -Sliding door lock never works, even after repair -Always charged double for trash (second charge for given month comes a couple months later) -Not at all like show unit or website -Clubhouse is always locked -Pools are dirty and frequently closed, moldy pool chairs -Car vacuum station doesn’t work -When we moved out they listed our unit for cheaper than they tried to charge us to renew it

Me & my boyfriend only lived there for a year and when we got there the floors still have cracks in them from the previous tenants, the closet doors were put on backwards, our closet sliding glass door was a mirror that had crack also since the last tenants. They’ll leave a notice on door just roughly 12 hours before they start doing any “repairs”. Have the water randomly shut off for hours, a/c barley wants to work. Maintenance guys helped a lot while we were there. I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
This apartment complex will post notes on your door with 12 hours notice making you clear an area of your home and, if your not comfortable with your animals loose with window replacements, painting, etc, even move your animals if you have pets - while the crew doesn't even show up. Postponing projects for days. Saying tomorrow, tomorrow. Then, water shuts off multiple times a month. Sometimes all night. I have had my ceiling drilled through while the building was without a roof for 7 months. If you leave a review on their Facebook they will delete it. They make it look nice from the outside and tend to the pools, but that's how they get you.
Poor maintenance and a staff that doesn't care about you. They care about collecting that check. I've had constant problems with my AC and after 3 years, it's still having problems. Good luck with this dump
Owning six (6) homes, finally moving to the West Coast of Florida, (and continually looking for just "the perfect" apartment complex, and countless times of passing "Water- chase Apartments" always with the thought, 'need to check that place out'....finally, five (5) years ago, I did. Going through the gates, although open in the daytime, (closed 7p.m.-7a.m.) I had a "feeling"...this place is PRETTY! That really good feeling just kept me driving, before I went through those gates on the way out I had signed a Lease. My roommate was not at all happy about my decision of quiet, and not having to report to another when I went to the store or to work. I miss her, but this is the ultimate! About Waterchase: 1. Beautifully kept, landscaping the ultimate, both in appearance and upkeep. 2. The gentle- men who maintain the smooth operation of "tenant contentment", are ALWAYS there - RIGHT NOW - to fix anything even giving a hint of breaking down....an example is: About 2 weeks ago, ( /-) 9a.m. by refrigerator gave up, the freezer was more water than frozen - I had just filled it to last at least three (3) weeks!!!! I called Maintenance, and I swear this is the truth, Bill, Head of Maintenance was knocking on my door in 15 minutes lugging a dolly filled with a beautiful new unit , with an interior I could never have de- signed more to the layout I loved and never have worked with before!! Need a touchup in wall paint and you are a do- it-yourselfer, just call...you'll have the paint; the blind will be fixed or replaced before you know it; commode not work- ing the way it should.....stand back - it's done! The rent is very reasonable, and I'm a terrible tightwad. The Office Staff, as well as Maintenance, are the very best, in both, caring as well as efficiency. I am proud to live at, and have no intention of leaving, Waterchase, of Largo, Florida. I've seen it all - THIS IS IT!!! (M Goddard) I close to not operating t.
