Property Ratings at Vora Mission Valley
Do NOT rent Apartment #491 or any unit on the same side of the building #6161 due to constant generator/cooler system noise! I really wish I had known before moving in, but Apartment #491 (and others facing the same direction) are plagued by loud, constant generator noise. It’s disruptive day and night, and management treats it like it’s “normal.” Spoiler: it’s not. That noise makes it incredibly difficult to relax, sleep or have a quiet moment at home. What’s worse is that when you want to move out due to this unhealthy living conditions they’ll charge you a full deposit (even though you lived only 1-month) regardless of the conditions. If you wanna change unis, you also have to provide new deposit for the exchanged unit. No accountability, no real help, just a lot of staff who deflect and make excuses. You’ll get plenty of smiles at move-in, but if you need support later? Radio silence. Check the noise level before signing anything, and don’t get trapped like I did. I expected professionalism, but I got indifference and noise. Avoid this place if you value peace, fairness, or customer service.
Property Manager at Vora Mission Valley, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm truly sorry to hear that your experience with Apartment #491 did not meet your expectations. We understand how important peace and comfort are in a home, and I regret that we fell short in this instance. The mechanical equipment you mentioned is part of the essential cooling infrastructure for the building. While some operational sound is expected, we take all noise concerns seriously. Our maintenance and facilities teams are currently reviewing this matter again to assess if additional sound mitigation efforts can be explored. Regarding your move-out and transfer concerns, we strive to apply all policies consistently and fairly, including those related to lease terms, deposits, and transfers. That said, we are always open to working with residents on a case-by-case basis to find solutions, and I apologize if that did not come across during your interaction with our team. We do appreciate your feedback, and I’d be happy to speak with you directly to better understand your concerns and work toward a resolution. Please feel free to contact our office at your convenience.
I’ve lived here for 1.5 years, the garage door has never worked and they don’t plan on fixing it at all. Not one garage doors works here
Property Manager at Vora Mission Valley, Responded To This Review
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. I’m sorry to hear about your frustration regarding the garage doors. I do want to clarify that the garage doors have not been non-operational for over a year. While we have experienced intermittent issues, the more recent and prolonged downtime has occurred during 2025. We are currently working with a vendor to fully replace the affected door panels and mechanisms, rather than opting for temporary repairs. This is a large-scale fabrication and installation project, and unfortunately, it has required a longer lead time than a standard parts replacement. We’ve been assured by the vendor that the installation is scheduled for completion within the week. Once completed, this will restore full functionality to the garage doors. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward resolving this matter. If you have any further questions or would like additional updates, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Gracie has made our move in experience absolutely wonderful. She is incredibly thorough, kind and responsive. Our initial tour was smooth and she went over EVERYTHING. All 101 of my questions. Gracie, the property, the location, the floor plan and finishes of the units made our decision easy to start the application process. We did a cross country move from Jacksonville FL so being able to do everything remotely and still have top notch customer service/communication from Gracie meant so much. They are a gated community, they are pet friendly, everything is near by (and I mean everything), so far the few residents I have encountered with are extremely nice. I truly love being able to access the parking garage from each floor level which makes heading home after a long day easy. I love that the parking garage is above ground so you don’t lose cell service. Placing work orders is easy through the resident portal and Todd came same day to change our light bulb. Very great level of customer service! Great job Greystar, you have a great team running Vora. We are happy to be here for 15 months!
I would recommend this apartment community because its at a reasonable price point compared to other comparable communities in the area. The staff members I have interacted with were all pleasant and the community overall seems like a great place for peace and solace after the hustle and bustle of work.
I would recommend it because it?s a clean community with responsive staff.
I was looking for my sister and it was to small. I answered questions as if i was going to be renter.. Brian did a great job of showing us around.
Too expensive, smells like marijuana all the time, loud parties even into the night past quiet hours.
I stayed in this apartment community because of my excellent experience moving into apartment 527. It has been nothing but the opposite experience moving into 420. the lack of compensation for such poor and damaged apartment would not make me recommend this apartment complex to anyone.
Price to lease began to increase beyond apartment and amenity value.
surrounding location does not feel safe and doesn't feel comfortable to go for long walks around neighborhood.
The community is friendly and well-maintained. I love my apartment amenities and the level of quality.
So far, no and we are really nervous about the choice we made in signing. In the 1 month since we have moved it our hallway reeks like urine and we have found poop in the halls 3 times!! It is so unsanitary and our fear is inviting a guest over and walking into that.
You are made to feel like you are part of the community and everything you need is right there for you.
Location is great, however monthly rent is a bit high
Overpriced. I was told my rent would not go up and I had to move due to the $400 rent increase out of the blue.
I love my unit and find it quiet, mostly clean, and safe. People I interact with in the building are always friendly.
Depends on the person, but for most people I know, it would be too expensive, and not worth the cost.
Romeo got the job done fast and was friendly! Thank you very much for assisting so soon. I was surprised at the speed of attention and completion of the task!
I have already recommended it to my friends seeking housing . I actually put in an application few days after my tour ! Absolutely breathtaking !
Nice amenities, spacious environments and gated features so it's safe. However, other apartment communities do offer tenants some respite when it comes to utilities.
Tina was great answering all our questions and showed us all the amenities and floor plans that matched our budget
Dog urine is out of control they hallways always smell horrible
Rent is getting rather high, especially for the area and amenities
Although maintenance repair requests are always addressed in a timely manner, the rental prices for this area are not aligned in my opinion.
I like living here and feel safe personally, but I would not recommend Vora to anyone who highly values 'quiet' (or at all with recent rental rate increases).
With the amount of rent that is being charged for residents, the price does not reflect the quality of living here. Residents leave trash everywhere, do not pick up after themselves, neighbors are loud, inconsiderate, speed through the garage, park in spots that are not designated spots such as loading areas, garage doors do not work, storage units are broken into, mail is stolen from the mail room and many other issues.
Aside from the main area cleaning and garage doors, the staff are great. Carla Lopez has been phenomenal in assisting me with some issues. She is great. Shaina has been very helpful and I feel she does her best job.
Lived in a total of 4 different apartment communities, and this has been the most expensive and the least cleanest. And again, no extras for the community and poor communication.
Monthly rent increase is extremely high. Not sure if it would be worth it.
The apartment itself is nice, but the area around is not up kept (ie. homeless people, people of drugs, etc.)
While the community is beautiful, it's filthy. Dog poop all over the place and in the dog park. Floors are nasty in the halls and the mulch around the building attracts flies, which find their way into your apartment.
The area isn't the nicest for the price we pay. Amenities could be better somewhere else and definitely wouldn't want a friend staying in a windowless room.
One of the biggest issues at this complex is that the pet owners are left unchecked to destroy the property. They are not held accountable for any policy violations. The smell of dog urine is everywhere; from the parks and walking areas, to the elevators, and to the hallways.
Great staff, very nice place, a little pricey but the location, amenities, and quality of the complex is nothing short of superb and worth it.
It's a beautiful place, comfortable and good location and amenities.
I've been living here for 3 years. For the most part, I have had a phenomenal experience. My biggest issue has been and always will be the cleanliness, especially the common areas on the upper level floors. I have to admit that it's frustrating when I'm on the first floor and it always looks spotless and immaculate. The upper floors are not given this same amount of attention. The common area carpets need desperate attention. There are constant pet stains, spills, etc. This is seriously my biggest complaint in all 3 years I've lived here.
Its a nice apartment complex, and the pool area and amenities are wonderful as is the Dog Park. The Dog Park is awesome. However lots of homeless are getting in - there are a lot of security issues (packages being stolen is rampant) I don't understand why UPS or Amazon doesn't understand the Lockers situation, as well as many cars broken into weekly. Security is flawed and MUST be rectified.
I have been living here since November 7th 2020 and am very satisfied with everything specially now we have our gym open 24/7. Keep up the good work
There is no community in my opinion. No one cares about people living next to them. Loud music, constant late night parties, noises. We had to contact security almost every week during our 14 month lease. It's not gated community, anyone can have access to the building or garage. There are cars waiting to get into the garage without key, and there is no one to stop them. Packages are being stolen same day from the door. In case of any issue there is no guard on property, he is somewhere near by, but not there all night. There is nothing luxurious in Vora, doesn't matter if you have nice appliances in the apartment if you can't sleep at night and don't feel safe at home.
For the price, location, and amenities, Vora is one of the best around that I could find. I'd consider Vora luxurious, but not as expensive as a lot of places in SD.
Very convenient location, beautiful upkeep and great quality appliances in apartment. Friendly and attentive personnel. Great amount of living and storage space, love the layout of our apartment.
It' really nice. Pretty clean. Not sure why parking in the garage costs.
If the Amenties are not available to thd tenants it's not worth it
They are very beautiful apartments at a relatively reasonable cost for the amenities and luxury that you get with them. The staff is absolutely amazing. Every one of them are the most friendly, professional and communicative apartment management I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with.
The apartment looks beautiful, the amenities are well maintained and the staff is professional. The sound level inside the apartment exceeds expectations also.
I feel safe here for starters, but the apartment is just absolutely lovely! I love everything about it. The dog park is convenient, I had a apt facing the pool and I love the view from the patio area, the window that faces the pool is low, and I love that too! The floors are hardwood flooring, except where it should be in my opinion, the bedroom and closet! The apartment living room has build in speakers that are easy to connect to. The gym is not huge but it has enough to get the job done!
The community is beautiful and the office personnel is great. The apartment walls are very thin and it is easy to hear your neighbors. There seem to be some very immature residence who continue to rev their car engines in the garage, setting off several car alarms. I am older (68), so this is not a place for me, I think a younger person would enjoy living here very much.
I would not recommend because the office staff were very rude once they found out we were moving out. They also disregarded the fact that we had our two bikes stolen right out of the parking garage. And we had a package stolen right from in front of our door. They acted like nothing happened. Security was a joke. I constantly had to call and tell security dispatch that there were homeless people wandering the building and the security guard was nowhere to be found. I was very disappointed in the lack of security at Vora which is a huge reason I will not recommend to any of my friends.
Nice and peacful. Friendly neighbors
Other residents are loud, frequent break ins to cars, packages being stolen from doorsteps, cats/motorcycles always racing extremely loud through front driveway area.
