Property Ratings at Vista Alegre Apartments
They will only respond to your emails and calls once you want to sign the lease, good luck staying in touch after you signed it. It's been 2 months since I moved out and didn't receive my deposit. When I was staying at their property, I had to take off work and go to the office in person whenever I had a request.
They charge low rent but then add a $30 "lease lock fee" every month just to make the rent higher. They also charge you $20 for a trash butler to pick up your trash but if you're on the 3rd floor he will never come. The third floor also has very low water pressure to the point where nothing comes out at times, even in the shower. When you call management to fix it they are never able to. And depending on where you live it will be a 2 minute walk to your mailbox. The basketball court is broken and the pool has been closed by management. Terrible management. The only reason I give it 2 instead of 1 out of 5 stars is because the asst manager is nice.
Vista Alegre is a nice place to live. Everyone there is very welcoming.

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!! The place is dangerous, there are constant drug dealers, RUDE Staff, Neighbors, it is ugly and dirty. Laundry rooms are COVID-19 Spreaders! People do not wear Masks (I do). RUN don't WALK the other way, or you will regret it.

Great place. No problems whatsoever. Studio is exactly what I needed. Staff is polite, professional, and are quick to help out. Price is competitive and overall a nice place to live.

Vista Alegre is a nice place however they charge a $50 fee to the resident for PNMs screw ups. Its happened several months in a row already and is unfair and rediculous.

I lived at Vista Allegra For a year. It was all good until I left. I left the my apartment in great shape. By law they have to send you your deposit back within 30 days. I left in November and still do not have my deposit. I have made numerous phone calls and nothing happens. Definitely would not rent here or tell anyone to rent here.

While these apartments are small, they have new appliances, and the parking lot was recently renewed. The apartments have large windows so there is a lot of light, and the management is friendly and responsive. The best thing about these apartments is that they are very conveniently located near Albertson's the mall and public transportation.

To put in a few words- Vista Alegre is hotel living with a lease. Communal laundry, no elevators (stairs only), and loud car noises on the first level. Beware of bare-thin walls as you will only find plaster and dry wall between neighbors (no cinderblocks). The levels are so thin, you can hear your neighbor take a leak in the toilet above you. Loud thumps and bumps ensue the person who lives above and regular tv noises sound like Charlie Brown's teacher. The staff and maintenance are courteous and on-point, but the complex has more negatives than positives.
