Located about six miles northwest of Atlantic City, Absecon provides all of the entertainment -- from the beaches to the Atlantic City Boardwalk to the casinos -- but with a much quieter environment. Absecon wraps along the marshy wetlands of Absecon Bay, with the Atlantic City Reservoir on its western side. The city features several parks: Heritage Park features a lake, a walking path, and it is the location of the Absecon City Hall.

The Absecon Station, located near the intersection of Ohio Avenue and Station Avenue, offers train service to Atlantic City and Philadelphia.
