Located about 17 miles south of Des Moines, Indianola is a charming suburb with a small-town atmosphere in Warren County. Indianola is best known for hosting the annual National Balloon Classic, a nine-day summer event filled with an array of vibrant hot air balloons. The city also hosts the popular Warren County Fair every year.
