As its name suggests, Southwest Oklahoma City is a neighborhood west of Oklahoma City that stretches from the Canadian River to Highway 66. Most of this community includes open spaces and farmland, but the closer to the city you travel, the more populated the area becomes. Residential neighborhoods and modern shops and restaurants can be found in the eastern sections of town. Renters can find several options for affordable apartments, single-family homes, and townhomes here too. Major roads like Interstate 40 allow for easy travel in and out of the neighborhood, and the Will Rogers World Airport, located just outside of the southeastern corner of the neighborhood, makes farther travel accessible.

Property Ratings at Villas at Canyon Ranch
Here I found a glimpse of what the world could look like- when resident, property managers, maintenance crew, and neighbors come together!!Everyone looks different, sounds different, from different backgrounds, have different personalities, different belief systems, different external appearances, different political preferences, different jobs, yet we have come together perhaps not knowing everyone in the complex, but we’ve found commonality and respecting one another’s space even among our different views! We are believe it or not a unique united community. EVERYONE HAS AN ISSUE or a bad day that we’d all like someone to forget about or look over! This place is run by humans for other humans, so yes living here 5+ years I’ve seen some things, heard some things- yet the good still outweighs the unpleasant moments! This property has been managed by two different companies. I’ve seen a total of three property managers since I’ve been here, I’ve seen maintenance crew come in and out. However, my request has always been taken care of, my voicemail has always been returned and my face has always been met with a warm smile. This place rings of loud loyalty! From the moment we moved in til this day that we’re moving out - we will remember ##02 as a home not just because my family made it one but because the people around us create and external atmosphere that added to making it one! *To all the previous managers thank you! However…… Peggy and Nick I have appreciated the laughter, real talk, the events you’ve hosted (the unfortunate new workout equipment THAT I WONT GET TO WORK OUT ON) and unwavering support you have provided-you both understand my reasoning for needing to move and I appreciate your support/sadness to see us leave. Says it’s gated security but it’s not. Dog friendly but dog poop everywhere. When I moved in it was in horrible condition. Water bill was approx $25 but changed it to $55 for just me. My dog and I were attacked by another dog that they had numerous complaints about him and they never even checked to see if we were ok. Maintenance was great. Once I could get out I did.
We had high hopes for these apartments but were sadly disappointed. The apartments are pet friendly and have a nice layout and the exterior is kept up, but the walls and ceilings are so thin it made living here miserable at times. You could hear everything from the neighbors: fighting, yelling, loud TVs, people using the bathroom, taking a shower, gargling, flushing the toilet, banging doors, more yelling and fighting, etc. There is a security company but it would often take half an hour to an hour for them to show up when the neighbors would have loud parties, and they'd just get loud again after the security left. We finally moved out to a rental house. It isn't much more expensive than the apartments were and is so much more quiet and peaceful.
I've lived here at Canyon Ranch for almost two years. The apartment's are good quality but have thin walls. Good management but not so great maintenance and security watch. There is noisy areas and quiet areas depending on what kind of neighbors you have. Great area just off I40 close to gas, food and, groceries. Decent apartments for the price.
We are very impressed with the quality of the apartment. Rarely hear our neighbors and the grounds are well kept. The maintenance could be better but still good.
Canyon Ranch Luxury Apartments are apartment living at its finest! They are conveniently located, beautifully lanscaped, spacious, well built and affordable as well! There are several gorgeous floorplans from which to choose, as well as garage access, in a lovely secure gated community. In addition, they are pet and children friendly. The office staff is wonderful...very friendly and accomodating and will go above and beyond in order to meet the needs of their residents. You will feel at home immediately in these beautiful luxury apartment homes.
This is the perfect place if you live in Oklahoma City. It's located on the outskirts of the city and it's super quiet. Amenities are close but far enough to keep from feeling crowded. The complex itself is great. Friendly staff who will make sure you love your apartment. And lastly the apartment feels very luxurious.
