Rural Eufaula is located on a bluff over Walter F. George Lake, right along the Alabama-Georgia border. The area feels pastoral with the economic mix of tourism and agriculture. Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge is a majestic mixture of landscapes creating unique habitats for 40 mammals, reptiles, fish, and over 300 species of birds. Watch out for the alligators found here! The area is mainly known as the big bass capital of the world, so it’s a popular area for fishing enthusiasts. One you’ve caught a fish, snap a photo in front of Manny the 12-Foot-Tall Fish, honoring the town as a fishing haven.
