If you had to pick a capital city for Oregon’s wine country, McMinnville would be a strong contender for the title. The small, secluded city is surrounded by vineyards, forests, hills, and rivers, making it a popular tourism destination as well as an idyllic place to call home. Downtown is a delightful walking district of tree-shaded sidewalks and vintage storefronts, the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee, pick up locally-sourced groceries, and of course sample the wine produced just outside of town.
Linfield College, a small liberal arts institution, sits on the south end of town, its gorgeous campus forming one of the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks. The city packs its social calendar with community events, ranging from art exhibitions to farmers’ markets to concerts to the annual UFO Festival, ensuring that there is always something unique to do in town on the weekends.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Village Quarter
My apartment building is quite new. Built in 2008. It is in a bad part of town but public transportation is near. It is for 55 and over or disabled. I am both. It's kept quite clean and issues in our apartments, lights needing to be replaced new door locks etc. are promptly addressed. We have an on sight manager but she is not always available. Our Building front door locks about 7 at night until 7 in the morning but most of the people that I have spoken too wish it was locked 24-7. For people on a fixed income I think the rent is high. I spend more than a quarter of my income just on rent. Village Quarter is run by the Housing Authority of Yamhill County.
