One of Detroit's popular inner-ring suburbs, Southfield delivers a distinctly urban atmosphere uncommon to communities of its size. The city holds a place as one of the most important commercial centers in Lower Michigan – the large Southfield Town Center business complex (also known as the “Golden Triangle”) serves as the daily workplace for thousands and hosts conferences year-round. The community is popular for folks who work in the local business sector, but with downtown Detroit just fifteen miles away, Southfield is a convenient option for commuters as well.
The city offers extensive facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports from golf to ice hockey, giving folks ample opportunities to stay active year-round. The city’s art scene largely revolves around Park West Gallery, a first-rate venue that houses a diverse selection of exhibits and frequently hosts art auctions as well.

Property Ratings at Village Club on Franklin
Current resident here. In short: problem after problem. The property has some new corporate owner. Their billing team/system incorrectly charged me on both rent and renter’s insurance. I’ve worked too hard to get these fixed, but since I refused to pay the wrong rent in full, I’ve now been charged late fees. They refuse to remove these and won’t explain. Maybe they think I’m supposed to pay for their mistakes.

Be aware of the mismanagement of this property. Repairs will go unattended because allocated budgets are maxed out. Management are incompetent and service team will tell you its not their problem when spoken to about issues. District managers will not answer calls of complaints. Was once a nice place to live, but not what it once was.
I have lived here for almost three years. Today when I renewed my lease, I was able to speak to Tune, the current property manager (who is super nice to deal with, always courteous and knowledgeable) was able to send me my lease, set up a carpet steaming, get a bathroom fixture replaced within an hour (the maintenance man Nick is also very nice to work with, always polite and unobtrusive), and set up to have the bathroom vanity replaced within days. All this took less than one afternoon. I have had a great experience here, overall. Only a few issues over the years, and any that arose were normal stuff that they fixed quickly.
Living here has been pleasant. The staff cares deeply about the well being and safety of the residents. And I feel a true sense of the word "neighborhood".
I have the best single apartment in this apartment complex. It faces the trees and it is generally quiet. Sometimes there are kids around and it can get loud, but otherwise not bad. I like being close to Royal Oak and Novi, both - as well as near all major high ways. Great service.
This apartment complex is centered in the midst of great restaurants, shopping malls, churches and many parks that have outside activities. Our apartment community center is great with an. upstairs pool table, spacious seating and everything needed to have a get -together. Let me not forget our pool area with a jacuzzi. and outside gas grill.
