The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Village at Rexburg
I've lived in the village several times over the last 8 years. Prior to the current owners, I'd had pleasant experiences living here. However, since the new owners took over, management has been beyond horrible. I've had many issues paying rent through their system after I had to dispute a payment when the auto pay took rent out twice in the same day. They've been locking me out of my ability to pay online and stopping the auto pay I signed up for without giving me any notice, verbal or written. Then after we payed in person via money order, they told us that everything was fixed, our account would be unfrozen, and auto payments would resume. However, the next month came and we missed our payment because our account was still frozen, even though they told us that it wasn't. This caused our payment to be late, and we were charged late fees. I went in to try to get everything resolved, and they made it very clear that they had no sympathy for my situation, no remorse or quilt for giving me misinformation, and refused to help me in any way. I payed everything I legally owed, but I was very disappointed they couldn't recognize that this was all stemming from their errors, and that I was a fellow human being who is out 150 dollars that could have been used to feed my newborn child. After I left, I received a text message from them informing me that my account has been frozen since March and is still frozen. I received this text message in May. I assume this is an attempt to prove that I was given written notice. Very unprofessional, sloppy, and rude. Additionally, since this new management came in, they've thrown on all kinds of signing fees and processing fees. They also do a poor job clearing snow, and are very stingy with ice melt. Over the winter, we had a continuously growing 3ft diameter slab of ice in front of our stairwell that required a lot of ice melt multiple times a week, but they refused to give us more than a small bucket's worth of ice melt once every 2 weeks, despite the obvious slipping hazard. Overall, they're unorganized, unprofessional, uncaring, unhelpful, disrespectful, and borderline decietful. I've never experienced worse management, ever.
It was a great place to live until it was time to leave. A fair and clear warning!!! When you go to get your Security deposit back they give you a long list of things to clean in the apartment and the deductions to each idem if it doesn't get done. Once you realize most of these things can't be done in the time you have you know your not getting your money back. A few people who lived there warned me about this and I didn't listen. Then when I asked if there were any other fees they told me that I was good. So I went home thinking nothing of it until I got a letter from debt collectors. Now my credit is at stake all for something less than $40. When you go there it will be fine as long as you live there. Move and you will have to deal with this problem.
This apartment is a nice size for me and my husband. Two bedrooms one bath and the kitchen fits both of us! On the plus side, it has a washer and dryer inside the apartment too. The complex also has its perks of big dog parks, kid park, theatre, gym, table tennis and pool table etc. You can never be bored. I would give it 5 stars but unfortunately the people upstairs don't step lightly.
The Village apartments are small but cozy places to live. There is a great family atmosphere here and a lot of perks like a nice theater room, a nice club house, and a gym. There are a couple things that I did not like living here. First off you have to pay for everything, no free parking, a ridiculous non refundable pet fee, and monthly pet payments. The pet parents and fees made it impossible for me to get a dog for my wife who suffers from sever anxioty and seizures. Watch out for maintain ace emails because if you don't a maintainable team will just come into your house, this happend while I was at work and my wife was home alone and asleep, made her feel really insecure for the remainder of our time here. I've heard horror stories about the management here but if you yell at them and express how discussted you are with the wrongs they have done they will treat you fairly. All and all the apartments are good, management is okay if you get on their good side, I just can't handle all of the fees for every little thing.
